Damn that footstool to end game 2 got so deep in nairos head. He just crumbled
Lul at all the “nairo needs a new character” and “marss is just so much better than him” comments after the set they played in loser’s
Well Nairo does want a new character, and I think that mentality has affected his play for quite a while. This is the first tournament in a long time he seemed to really stick to palu.
Marss is not better as much as ZSS fits his playing better in this game than in smash 4. Nairo is a heavy bait, movement, and aggressive player and last game ZSS had some ridiculous rage combos that fit that perfectly. This game she really doesn't and its a much slower playstyle which Nairo dislikes.
Palu is not an ideal character either she is just kind of a good all round characte. Nairo is making use of that but as he says she does not have great confirms which means you can always come back on her. Palu with a lead is not saying a ton.
Marss still better
Honestly Marss is just better than Nairo now. Yes Palu has a bad mu vs zss. But I think the player marss is beating Nairo not the characters. Everytime Nairo tries to change his characters against Marss it doesnt work.
To be fair Nairo always had the rivalry with Marss even in SMash 4. He doesn't have a character that fits his playstyle anymore tho.
@@gxstly I remember Nairo saying on a stream he wants a character who always feels like they're doing something, be it in the air, on the ground and off the ledge. It feels like there should be someone who fits that description, but the names' not coming to me.

the palu has to go. i wish nairo would pick up fox or another top tier that doesnt struggle to get kills like palu does
Picking Fox would do more harm, he'd have horse power in exchange for an extremely linear recovery. I agree that he needs a different character, but atcm Palutena is Nairo's best character
Palu has plenty of kill confirms. Back air is great. Up air is scary good. Side B is lethal. Up smash underneath opponents is a great move. Fox on the other hand can only rely on Upsmash and Upair.

This match up should be a lot easier for Nairo since he mained ZSS for so many years.

This is definitely a pretty bad mu for Palu though regardless like just no fast enough options to deal with a lot of ZSS's things
That said though he'd probably have an easier time if he slowed down some approaches with neutral b
