Napom's trolling in the second round really killed the energy, he could've won if he did not troll.
I still think he won tbh. Round 1 was definitely to Napom IMO. Round 2 was close because of the energy drop in his last 30, but his counter at the beginning more than made up for it IMO.
Even if I gave river round 2, Napom won round 1 more than River would've won round 2.

@sussy4099 you don't realise how hard it is to do that, I triple spit snare of that speed is nuts. The only difference was that napoms was more sharp and rivers was more rounded
@@kenziemac29 Nah, the big difference is that Napom is not on pitch and not doing arpeggios in the counter. But still really effective and impressive counter. It setted a really high energy, and he lost it with the troll.
I was jumping watching the live stream thinking Napom beat river until those last 30 seconds, totally dropped it for me.
yeah I agree, but I think at that point he figured he lost anyways so he might as well troll

Nah River took this for me. Napom didn't counter correctly, it was a simpler technique (lip roll), less complex pattern and less complex vocal technique layered on top. He certainly had a battle mentality but it didn't quite execute. By the time he made those jokes and tried to drop a beat, the energy was completely lost and he started sounding very messy. River was consistent the whole damn competition with new routines and a huge amount of variability.
Napom took this. River had a showcase first round, so Napom high diffed River showing off his musicality 1st round to show his versatility. Second round River ups his battle energy but his arpeggios are dirty and not clean at all (yes it’s difficult to do perfectly however with musicality you have to deliver on the notes or not take the risk). Napom counter is super effective although not exactly the same. Yes, he trolls in the end; however, i would argue the troll is a battle troll and definitely gains battle points. River wins second round very slight but with Napom high diff clearance in first round he wins. It’s a battle not a showcase :) also if Dlow votes for napom then 🤷♂️ just saying. Respect and big up for both.

I guess you guys just kept saying that napom should be the champion, actually the placements, sounds, beat and parts. River made a very clear placements, type of music and specially to confront napom. So river won for the champion. River deserve it.

bro whyyy! napom deserved the championship. Napom deserved the championship. The beat that River made at 6:32 was made at 5:57 in his duel with Colaps King Inertia. There were also techniques that Gene used. Napom had his own unique kicks and was very powerful. Energy, power, technique, impressing the audience and making them laugh. Napom has all of these. People enjoy listening to it. I don't understand the judges, I don't know if it was a problem that they were both French. He reached the final 3 times. His opponent in all 3 campaigns was France. Alem, Pacmax, River. Yes, the Alem deserved it. Yes, Pacmax deserved it, but this time it was Napom's deserved, my friend. Napom was definitely very strong and it showed. He deserved the championship. I'm so sorry about my Napom. In the napom vs river duel, they were both very good, I think napom was a little superior. I think it's unfair. Napom deserves wone. A stronger beatboxer. River is still very young and has the potential to become a champion. I would love to see Napom win a world title before he gets old. I hope you know napom's been to gbb finals 3 times and won in 2017 as well. If you think napom needs titles, man udk how many comps hes won. And besides, this battle couldve went either way. I was on napom's side for round 1. The last 30 seconds of napom's round killed the vibe for me. If it wasnt for that id go napom. Because it ruined the whole ordeal of the battle for me cuz napom just kept calling river a gene knockoff (and gene is a judge there aswell so atleast to some degree it would seem like pandering)
Napom definitely seemed like he "battled" more. But i gave it to river purely because of that second round. Arguably top 3 drop of the gbb for me because it literally went from amazing to godly in the last 30 seconds of that round. To each our own opinions
