Everything Bradley says Boots needs to do to get a fight with Crawford, applies to Crawford wanting the Canelo fight.
I get Crawford is considered the best, but he can't expect to bypass 3 divisions and then cut inline to get a shot at Canelo.
Not sure if anyone even considered this matchup, until Crawford himself started mentioning it.
If Crawford was serious he would earn his shot by moving up & continue fighting the best. If he can make it too the top & beat the likes of Berlanga, Plant, Munguia or Benavidez..THEN he can go for Canelo. But it seems Crawford is wanting to cash out based off of beating Spence.

Bud is clout chasing just like he did with Canelo when he was at 160 and backed track on that too. Berto who's friendly with him put him on blast saying he told him he didn't really want smoke at 168. He name drops Canelo because it brings him more attention than most of his actual fights and to deflect after publicly saying he wanted no part of his mandatory/current IBF champ Boots or 154 unified champ Mell.
Bud doesn't make big moves like that. It took him half a decade to make one unification at 147 while facing no other reigning champs besides Spence that entire time. He'll probably keep name dropping the face of boxing Canelo while going back to fighting gateekepers like Avanesyan on his 1 fight a year schedule.
And Tim will keep exposing himself as a hypocrite saying Bud should be allowed to pick and choose all he wants even if it means facing 1 reigning champ per half decade while acting like Canelo who's been fighting more champs than anyone and doesn't even have mandatory due and never ruled out Benavidez unlike Bud with Boots and Mell.

Bud has the option to invoke the WBO mandatory fight or pursue Mel Charlo. Boots doesn't have a path to greatness by seeking shortcuts and fading into obscurity(that’s what happens when you pursue email titles over hard work); that's on him. Opponents know his belt is essentially a watered down fake title. Likewise, Barrios isn't compelled to face Boots since he's at a higher level in terms of relevance and earnings. This situation arises when you neglect to compete against contemporaries like Stanionas and Ortiz. Now, he's in the midst of legal action against his promoter. Him and his daddy know they fucked up. 1. Shouldn’t have dropped out the WBO 2. Shouldn’t have taken that title 3. If you took it should’ve advised the IBF to vacate the title and immediately fight for it. Essentially the same thing Tyzu with the WBO which is why it doesn’t look as bad

Out of Crawford last 10 opponents, David Avanesyan, Kavaliauskas, Jose Benavidez Jr, John Molina? and Felix Diaz have never been champion’s, so how can Crawford’s resume be better than Tanks? He beat Julius Indongo for undisputed and beat Jeff Horn for the WBO Welterweight title. Brad Goodman is a Hall Of Fame Matchmaker and Crawford has benefited from his expertise and knowledge of the sport. If Tank was on Top Rank he would be ranked number 1 pound for pound, right there with Inoue and Crawford (2 Top Rank fighters)

You dudes really be casuals, Terence Crawford was 26 having 10 round fights, while tank became champion at 22 with 16 fights. Julius Indongo, Hank Lundy, Thomas Dulorme, and John Molina isn’t elite competition and have contributed nothing to boxing.

Matter of fact, Spence is the only reigning champ Bud has faced in over 5 years work. In the time it took Bud to make one unification, Canelo faced NINE reigning champs while fighting across three divisions but through some kind of backwards minded hater take, the guy he's somehow complaining about is Canelo while calling Bud a hero for fighting gatekeepers on his 1 fight a year schedule.

I agree with Tim. Unfortunately, Boxing is all about the business now and on the business side of things, Crawford started way too late. At 147 there are no other big names except Spence and it looks like that won't happen this year. It's a shame but Jaron Ennis is still gonna make a lot of money even if he doesn't get a shot. No matter how you spin it, Crawford has to come to grips with reality, volume over a one fight deal is how he can increase his net worth. Defend those belts or move up and fight guys his age. Barrios is lacking in bone density although his frame is big enough to fight as a Welterweight, his power and speed will not hold up, unless Boots decides to box, (carry) him.

And since the Spence fight, Bud flat said he won't fight either his 147 mandatory/current IBF champ Boots or unified 154 champ Mell. On the other hand, Canelo faced NINE reigning champs (plus other mandatories) while fighting across 3 divisions in the time it takes Bud to face one. And unlike Bud with Boots, Canelo never ruled out fighting Benavidez and doesn't even have mandatory due, yet hypocrite Bradley is out here complaining saying Canelo needs to fight everyone ASAP at once while Bud should be allowed to reject all the fighters he wants.

I am a huge boxing fan, but Terrance Crawford as a commentator leaves MUCH to be desired.
