I’m probably stating the obvious but I feel like a big part of why they haven’t gotten married is because the guy is actually doing well for himself or has a wealthy family and thinks of the girl as mooching off him so there’s either been talk of a prenup and/or it’s just been a cause for stalling the marriage. So her stealing money from him fits into his preconception of her and doesn’t really bother him, whereas him hiding money from her reminds her of his preconception of her (and also of a big part of why they haven’t gotten married) and therefore does bother her

Let's not forget there is obvious implications that she cheated on him. There’s a difference between being “physically” attracted to a man (how the question was worded) and just finding a man attractive. Physically attractive means you look at them and you feel something for them (your heart is involved) whereas finding someone attractive means that your brain will acknowledge that you are aware that someone is good looking.

It wasn't even "in the mirror a lot", it was "in the mirror more than me". She's literally outting herself as being jealous that he's a better looking dude than she is a woman because he's willing to put in the time that she isn't. It's a real world example of the typical shallow and insecure trope of a woman not dating a guy who's better looking than them because they have to be the attractive one in the relationship.
It's an old stereotype because there weren't many straight men that cared about their looks. The ones that did were called metrosexuals. The stereotype was that gay men typically cared and were better at it. That was the whole concept behind the show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

Some people like to take it slow, and some people like to enjoy having the title of fiancé or whatever. It really, honestly, doesn't matter, it's just a title. You don't even have to propose to get married. It's all for show honestly, and it's different for every relationship I suppose. But to me it's dangerous to think waiting a little while before actually getting married is bad, because you rush it because you want them to "hurry it up and marry me".
