About Metalocalypse: Dethklok
Metalocalypse is Adult Swim's blackest, most brutal comedy. Coming straight to your face from Brendon Small (Home Movies) and Tommy Blacha, it centers around the band Dethklok, a global metal sensation with enormous economic power and social influence. Dethklok includes Nathan Explosion on vocals, Skwisgaar Skwigelf on lead guitar, Toki Wartooth on rhythm guitar, William Murderface on bass, and Pickles the Drummer as...himself. This song is seriously good. Not just for Dethklok, but as legit metal in its own right.
Dethklok's music, is by all accounts, metal as fuck.
There’s no metal better than Dethklok.
I think being a cartoon gave Brendon a lot of liberty to write not so serious lyrics with top notch metal, so Dethklok songs are very unique because they're brutal but also kinda comic
They are a real band. Same with Gorillaz.
Dethklok is absolutely neat as hell to me, and I'm serious when I say that if people didn't know about the show, you'd have absolutely no clue that the music they play is more than able to stand on its own. I think that the lyrics being hard to understand further disguise their novelty music origins if that makes any sense (and since it's coming from my mouth, I'm absolutely clueless whether it does or doesn't make sense to any soul out there. But I'm gonna try and be hopeful that it does!)

It's crazy how we all heard the call. Literally went to a show the other night for a Florida band called Traitors. Talking to a guy outside I said I was rewatching the show because I felt like it was time. He held up his hand and showed me a tattoo of a gear, and I hugged my fellow Gear.
when i apprenticed under a tattoo artist in Hawaii the first tattoo i did (10 years ago) was on myself... it was the Gear. and the whole time i was lost in the process i had this song and the Gears on repeat back to back to back...there really is a special something in the show and music
