Seattle has it's own homeless population that has been waiting for dignified housing! What about American born kids who have lived in poverty who had to wait until they were old enough to get a job to not be hungry anymore? You don't care about your own poor so what's this big thing about another countries poor? I know it's not about doing what's right because Seattle/NW children who were born here go hungry most days and too many live in substandard housing or in a tent! I know for a stone cold fact going back to the 1960's hunger has been a problem for our own children born into poverty yet we have done nothing to change that. Holding up the flag of another country does not make me more sympathetic to their problem! A country that doesn't fix it's own homeless problem taking on even more poverty stricken folks and from another county is pointless. Just creating an even larger underclass that will live here in poverty. And if they are lifted out of poverty without addressing our own poverty stricken folks it will create distrust and all kinds of problems!
