Manson was just a kid in this video! I think he was about 22 or something. I used to be on the outskirts of him at this period of time. it was a long time ago. you'll have to show her videos that are little more updated so you can show her what he looks like to most people. Because this is so old people don't picture him being post pubescent child just starting out. that picture him as the one blue eyed guy that way now that is still young to me but much older than this video. that was a lot of words to just say show or a more up-to-date video so she can see what Manson really looks like LOL

I have a funny one I used to get bullied in school really bad by the popular kids. And when I got to be 30 years old and walked into a bar in my local area where I went to school and all of those lovely bullies are sitting in the bar every day after work drinking because they're nothing but a bunch of Alcoholics. Touche
And ? They still bullied you and you remember that, on the other side, no one from them remembers you and you're writing this, because you are angry, I hope you, writing that, makes you at least happier, but damn.

The best thing to do is to pray for them mdear cuz addiction is nothing nice and is a living hell...you may be able to get over bullying but they might not be able to get out of their addiction tbh...8 months sober btw after living in hell 15years so i know what im talking about...and lucky i got out aluve...barely.

The "popular girls" they are or have been on drugs and look way older then me. some of the guys are over weight and bald. there are very few that was mean to me that are successful in life. the ones that were guanine people are doing good today. i don't like bullies
On the bullying thing, kids need to be taught the difference between righteous action and harmful action. And they must be allowed to express their righteous action when necessary. They must be allowed to stand up to bullies instead of being made to keep it quiet. When I went through school if we had a problem with someone, we had a fight and that was the end of it. We all got detention for being involved in the fight, because naturally there are always consequences to your actions, but bullying stopped after. When kids are taught to hold it in, bottle it up, or are not allowed to punch back, then things boil over. And unfortunately the results are tragic.

I think Manson's explanation for the song could be seen as a dig at the hypocrisy regarding gun control, in that the authorities will ban metal lunchboxes to stop kids getting hurt but won't do a thing about guns when school kids are dying every week.
To me, Marilyn Manson is a symbol for all the bullied, abused, outcast people out there who don't fit the perfect model of what society deems 'normal', taking all the hate directed towards them and taking it onto himself, almost daring society to hate him instead. Rather than his music being dark and depressive, I find him and especially Korn, to be the complete opposite and they've helped myself and a whole lot of others through some very dark places and come out the other side. You listen to the music and can't help but think. someone understands.

This song was written by Manson inspired by his childhood and how he was bullied at school so he brought his lunchbox to defend himself from the bullies. Also, at that time he was religious and then he rebeled against the christian religion because he could see that he was being manipulated and that the religion itself was full of contradictions. And that's how Brian Warner slowly starter turning into Marilyn Manson.

I got to see Manson perform this song live for the first time in the US since 2005 in Knoxville, TN, on May 8, 2015. He did it the next night in Chattanooga, TN, as well. Manson is one of the most intelligent, humorous, personable, and polite people I've ever had the opportunity to meet. He likes to make people think for themselves, and that, in turn - frightens a lot of people.
You gotta let her see Tourniquet. My personal favorite. I used to write my horrible thoughts on the wall and hide them with my posters. I was very abused and bullied as a child. I hid that for 10 years. My parents made us paint our bedrooms before we moved so, they never saw it.

I was bullied A LOT as a kid, but if you fight back hard enough they don`t want to do it to many times because your not worth the trouble. I was real little to. I am 5,2 now as an adult (male). I just got fed up with it and decided one day to fight back with all I had. It really helped me because it opened a dialogue with me and the principal at school and the bullies. They figured out that I fucked them up one by one when they were alone as payback (usually they would bully me as a group). That finally put an end to it. At least until junior high were it all started again and it was more serious because we were becoming teenagers. "Fear leads to panic, panic leads to pain. Pain leads to anger, anger leads to hate" BUT then again always stand up for yourself to.

Metal lunchboxes were popular in the early eighties but were banned because some kids used them as weapons to beat other kids... That's what he is referring to, not guns or any other kind of weapons.

Grew up in Fla. Was a teen when Manson was still doing small clubs. He and twiggy held my hair keep me company and cleaned me up when they found me in the bathroom ruined and puking on way to much mescalin. They waited with me till I came out of my funk it held there set back like twenty minutes I keep saying they could go but he said making sure I was okay was more important than a few minutes being late to play. He at the time was a hella good guy. The band would always come to after parties at the end of sets he would ask whose house are we going to and show up. Bands before fame.

The song is from the perspective of a school shooter and about how if he does this big act they become famous. It's one of the darkest but most poignant songs hes ever made.
