Awesome vid! I too had a new 89 Ovation as a kid. This brought back all sorts of similar memories I have of riding the local trails.
I have one 1990 after sitting all year I took air hose gas lines it fired right up there fun little machines
Love the video. It’s awesome for you to tell us some of your roots/ history. My first ever sled was an 1971 elan single
@jason quackenbush thank you 🙏 I’m glad you appreciated the vid! I know allot of people who “popped their cherries” on a Elan 😁
Fantastic! Love the old sleds. I got all the old videos on VHS still too.
Awesome! Sadly I don’t have any VHS left, found this little sound bite online and thought it for perfectly 😊 Thanks for watching.
@@BeaverTailToys We are gonna head up your way to ride for a weekend sometime in Feb...maybe will see you out on the trails! Ride Safe!
Really enjoyed the video. Sounds like an awesome place to grow up. Just started up the 89 Ovation today getting ready for winter
I picked up an 1990 model of these today along with a 440 Jag. I've had my fair share of 340 Enticers but never an Ovation. This one is quite a bit worse for wear as it seized from oil starvation last winter. Hoping its just the pistons and cylinder jugs that have to be replaced as I have a spare 340 engine with blown crank seals. Good video!
I've known OF you for ages online, but never had the opportunity to cross paths. What a wonderfully nostalgic video to relate to the days when phones didn't go with you on adventures and when the smell of sledding got us all excited. Excellent video!
Thank you @jerry arbs 🙏 these comments always have a little extra weight when they come from an artist that I respect. I’m glad I could provide you with some nostalgic feels. Hopefully we can finally meet in person soon.
Yamaha was the best in quality. Hands down. 2016-2019 I was riding a 94 Vmax 600 on all the trails with no worries about breaking down and it never did !.
@Mark Bow Yes! The VMax4 is actually on the top of my list for sleds to own next…the original muscle sled! 💪🏽
Great video Vince! That was very nostalgic!! Sad that the Dunnet corner rink is n longer a thing.
Hi, Im a 13 year old kid and love your channel. I have a 1994 Ovation and i love it so that sled is gonna fun
Also do you have any tips on how to go faster because I can only get mine to 60 mph
@Mainely Kid, thank you and thanks for watching. 60 mph top speed seems right. The one in the video is in KM/H so when you see me hit 80 that's around 50mph. Wish I had some tips for you on how to make it faster but I don't unfortunately.
This is great Vince, you are a talented story teller. I absolutely loved this video. Nice work. You brought back such wonderful memories of my childhood as well. Remember when the school busses had a snow day and couldn't pick up us to get to high school. Lol, the skidoo trail was pretty awesome those days I remember. Thanks again Vince.
Thanks @Justin Racine much appreciated! 🙏 Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, back when November snow storms were the norm. 💜
Just started watching your videos ..... Just got a new subscriber bud !!!!
Fun little sleds I picked up one on Facebook marketplace for 50 bucks. I have more fun on that thing than my big Polaris is.
Haha, love it! Thanks for sharing. It’s a different kind of fun on those sleds for sure!
Omg, I ripped an Ovation for years!
And in Coniston to be exact, our restaurant was the White House, our pit was Baby lake, and our rink was between two sets of train tracks.
The only thing better than sledding is watching your videos about sledding. What a great trip down your memory lane, thanks for sharing. One of my current sleds is a 95 Mach 1 and it's my favourite hands down. Also your folks seem like super likeable people 👍
Awe well isn’t that just nice to hear! Thank you @valhalla awaits 🙏 Love those classic sleds and yeah my parents have always been well respected in the community 😊
