Damn, gotta give mad respect to Wtp for postponing there bike. Most companies would have just told em to go kick rocks. Granted they probably wouldn't have done anything if there wasn't such uproar about it but still that's pretty noble of em.

Really watching this now 2-3 years later..... WeThePeople Should have just built there and it would already be on the market along with actually being marketed and looked after correctly... Ruben should have just went to the bigger company and this would already done they have made no decent progress and no real large manufacturing is coming anytime soon its too bespoke and with the demand it needs to be done on a larger scale... sometime just suck it up and build it with the bigger company and take the royalties
if fingers crossed didn't patent the design then i don't see wtp doing anything wrong...people obviously want something like this and if they are able to bring it to the masses, then thats a good thing for the customers
stacked is good people, they've helped me with orders and sat with me on the phone as i went through their site...they also were quick to cancel an order because the price was posted incorrectly, no questions asked and i had a refund
The issue is that the FX crew have developed the modern market for these bikes, and now the bigger corporates are moving to capitalize before the small guy can even make a move. It's not new, it's not wrong from a business perspective, it's just morally abhorrent, and in BMX we just don't do things this way.

I would also like to know if there's updates to when these bikes will fully be available. There was a titanium kit available for them not long ago but I haven't heard about chromoly
Mountain bike with 20in. wheels, it's not that cutting edge and like you said it's been done before. WeThePeople should just go with it. They are an established brand and actually have a market share.
Independent bmxers will likely spend tons of time and money and fail with the roll out. It happens all the time to smaller businesses.
I wouldn't doubt WeThePeople is just waiting for the other guys to potentialy flair out and then gauge the market.

Like WTP said, suspension BMX bikes are nothing new. I don't understand why Garrett and Rubens are so upset. It's not an original idea. I doubt that WTP got plans for the G&R bike and copied all the angles and measurements.
Fingers crossed. They should've come up with a patentable design, or kept the shit a secret. Neither bike is special. It's a mini coaxial pivot downhill bike. Not even news haha

I give WTP a ton of respect to allow Garrett and Ruben do thier thing. Kinda fall back a bit and let them go after what they have been working so hard on. I totally agree with you on the situation and personally don't feel it's a huge deal but also can understand where both sides are coming from
Man I love these news videos, every time I think I've been keeping up on bmx this week,BAM! Ten more things that I didn't see! Now after saying that I did see the we the people thing and as I understand what both sides are saying I have to give a lot of respect for we the people, for them to basically put there bike to the side to let Garrett and Rubens bike gain steam is very cool in my opinion!
You can bet if WTP were working on this since 2018 that every other major BMX manufacture has one already on the drawing board . So you know soon as fingers crossed release there's the market will be flooded with them from all corners in 6 months to a year max ? . Cant fingers crossed as a private company compete and put out bikes to challenge say Sunday or BSM ?

Watched the fingers crossed series. I thought it was really good watching them guys go through the process of developing that bike. The guys themselves seemed really cool too. But really, I dont think hey came up with any innovative technology. So in all reality for those guys it's shit, or get off the pot.

Wtp have enough recourses to just make a couple of thousands of these bikes, i hope Garret and Ruben feel kinda proud that some companies might steal "their" ideas. They will bring a totaly new concept as Ruben etc did when they decided to ride a smaller sprocket (and now think again all you knobheads)
These kinda products don't come in a month designwork and testing materials etc, Period

I guess I'm to old to care bro. I do understand everyone's feelings on this. I remember when the money on these went bust when I was a kid. We where calling them trail dirt bikes. I thought that's how the mountain bike came to be.

Just watched the Simple Session documentary. Pretty cool look at behind the scenes stuff. I don't have a real opinion on the WTP/Fingers crossed issue but it was nice of WTP to chill for a bit so Rueben & Garrett and get things going. After watching several of the USL videos, they should change things up. I have all the respect for the riders doing it and their skill level but if it becomes a hop/bar/whip/spin contest, I'm out. If any one of those guys can bust out a hang 5, whiplash or steamroller, they have it locked up. I did see the Rad Girls 2020 edit earlier. I could watch that all day and be stoked. Be safe and ride on everyone!

The pure/honest/faithful/family/etc bmx thing doesn't exist. Having a good local bike shop is nice to support at least though.
Even tho Fingers Crossed were not first, they made it a thing for this whole generation, Im afraid there was no option to patent a technology or concept thats already out there. The things that doesnt sit well with me is the fact that it was in pre order process, probably for 2022, it would go down without the leak, this wtp answer seems to be just attempt to save themselves from this backlash, and thats just sad. Of course there was no legal obligation, but what about moral obligations to the legends of the sport and bmx on its own. This might have been a death sentence for Fingers Crossed. If my friend is gonna try to hook up with my girlfriend and someone will tell me. Statement thats hes not gonna do it then, even tho he got no obligations because she not my wife, its not gonna make him any less scumbag.

Brad is greedy and leave suspension off bmx bikes. That's why there are mountain bikes. Too each their own. What next road bikes with off road tires? Leave the hybrid stuff in the mtb world. Quit copying other industries.

The Brad thing i'm not sure on. We just don't know what his wage was to begin with. Both Brad and Fit seem unprofessional if the statement is anything to believe.
WeThePeople and Eclat always copy other companies, look at all of their BMX parts. Only a couple original things they designed that never lasted

@@BFELLY odyssey is pretty dope but no one distributes it in my country so i stick with kink, wtp, cult and a bunch more. Wtp is actually pretty because the riders are sick, like felix he double oeged up a huge rail and 360 whiped it, felix has his signature pathfinder frame that he didn't copy his geo from anyone else, the doomsayer has hydroformed toptube and downtube at welds so it would be stronger. In conclusion i actually like wethepeople and it's not as bad as cult
