Solid memorable riffs. The song needs guitar solos or some type of melody leads. Maybe a quick solo before the vocals at 0:43. Then a solo at 2:01 right after vocals with a slightly different rhythm riff under the solo. Then come out of the solo, and back to the main riff. Good work overall.
Thanks man. I also appreciate the pointers. I would do some solos. But I suck ass at solos😂 Always have. My lead playing sounds like Kerry King to a shit, then slept in it. I thought about adding a melodic part over the riff after the second chorus. But the song told me no. I let the songs write themselves. Every time I try to force something. It turns in to llama ass.
@@KaaiHawaiianDeathMetal Nah, you can solo. Keep practicing. Maybe record some practice solos to work on. Practice will make it feel natural. Keep up the hard work.
All my best solos are after 8 PBR tall boys, on stage in front of people. Not really. Lead guitar was never my thing. I’ve been rhythm my entire 33yrs as a guitar player. I do some melodies and harmonies. I think either A. I gots no pizazz. Or B. Too much self doubt

Since I honestly don't really play guitar solos, I almost never leave room in my songs for them. I'm not saying that I would be against you or someone guesting on one of my songs with a solo. Sometime in the future

Thanks man. Very few metal bands are writing about Hawaiian history or mythology. So I figured fuck it. I’m Hawaiian. I should do it. It makes songwriting flow so much easier. I also try to melt my influences together all the way from classic metal to death metal. With some punk/hardcore when it works out.
I also just put up a new song last night. If the 4 songs on The Conqueror King are played in order. It’s the story of King Kamehameha from birth to unification of all the islands. Except for Kaua’i and Ni’ihau. Kind Diamond style.

It only seems to be good for a couple hours. For some reason, people can’t listen to an under 4 minute song on CZcams or an over 4 minute song. Unless you’re already one of the established artists. And even they don’t get a lot of action. Unless they’re already super popular. Or have a massive promotional machine behind them handling the marketing end of things.
