  • www.autobytel.c... The 2012 Mazda5 in an interesting vehicle. You can think of it as a compact 3-row minivan. But the Mazda5 is so much more. Not only does the Mazda5 look good; it is sporty and gets wonderful gas mileage. The 2012 Mazda5 was redesigned from the ground up and the look of the front end reflects some of Mazda's other vehicles including the CX-7 and the Mazdaspeed3.
The 2012 Mazda 5 has a base price of $19,625. The only motor choice available is a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 157 horsepower and 163 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is 21 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway.
What's cool about the Mazda 5 is that it features a sliding door just like a minivan should. This allows for easy access to the third row. The Mazda 5 also features a pair of captains chairs in the second row that are very plush and comfortable. The 2012 Mazda 5 is very fun to drive. The steering is responsive and the engine has enough torque to get you moving. There is no other vehicle like the Mazda 5. If you want a sharp looking and sporty minivan then get this car!

In the middle row when you said there might be a bigger guy in front of you, i thought you were gonna push the whole seat back so you have leg room. what good does leaning back do?

I think Jeff is well over 6ft. Must be at least 6'4" or something, because I have this car (I'm 6ft) and my head just comes over the top of the roof line. There is also stacks of room in the back. It is a spacious car.

How is the leg room? (Yes, I see you wrote 10 years ago.)

Hahaha wtf I'm just checking out this video right now too but there are 101 better resources and quicker ways to get an answer to a question than a 10 year old CZcams comment.

@MIA7Xthies it might not help with leg room, but reclining angled my body in a way that made me feel like I had more room, and increased my overall level of comfort. Great question though.

Lol the only reason I came here was because I thought it had suicide doors like the Rolls Royce... Didn't even consider the fact that they could've been sliders HAHA

@3:14 mpg is wrong. The official is 21 city 28 high way. I get 28mpg even with mixed driving during the summar in a 2015 sport trim.

The car is too small. If it's rear ended, people on the 3rd row will be in big trouble.

I own one. He's right on all accounts, it's a very fun car to drive. My last car was a e39 BMW with a V8, so I have a pretty good gauge on what's sporty and what's not.
