Thank You for your service and time making all the videos and sharing your experiences with Us I feel sorry for the families who are suffering due too prices I have given away a lot of used parts when I’ve gotten my money back allready It’s not being weak but it’s a other way to help the kids eat better
Glad to try and help others get their stuff fixed! We always help when a situation arises where we can be of assistance also. Used parts is a good way to do that without coming out of pocket yourself. Very nice of you!
I love how you used your experience to work through the diagnosis solution. Where are you located? I appreciate folks who have skills and can use them to find what is wrong. Thanks for sharing this video. I am hitting the subscribe button and giving you a thumbs up.
Haha I hear that one! Best purchase ever in my opinion! I have 6 or 7 just because they stopped making them for a while and I was down to one them couldn't find them!
Yeah it wasn't nearly that bad here because we have been in a drought for over a month no humidity but we would have definitely went home! Finally starting to get back to where we don't have to put in 14 hours a day to stay caught up so we are not complaining but would love just a little bit of rain!! You can keep the heat!
Hey brother, I have a z930m with issues. I’ve taken to local John Deere multiple times and yet to get it fixed properly. If your able to help me out with a phone consultation or video chat I’m more than willing to compensate you for your time. Thank you!
Reach out to me with a good time to call or Skype along with video link or phone number. Available all day today but take the weekends off for family time. service@individualizedrepair.com
@@Marco858636 I have purchased myself through RCPW when everyone else was out of stock years ago. Looks like someone has them on Ebay for now also www.rcpw.com/trillium-spc-7200-spark-checkr-engine-spark-tester-ignition-analyzer-for-small-engines-motorcycles-and-more/
John deere Z425. Start it and run it 5 times, Only running of one cylinder. Valve cover not heating up, pull plug for opposite side and engine fails. If I Start it a 6th time; randomly now both are firing and I can mow. Halfway through the mow, it loses half its power again. Start shaking the fuel lines a little; back to full power. Its nothing I can replicate though, it seems random, and Im not sure the fuel line trick is actually working. Sometimes it stays running strong, sometimes the cylinder cuts out. New plugs, new air filter, new fuel. Any ideas?
Doesn't sound like anything is consistent, I would disconnect the kill wires on the coils and test each cylinder spark before going much further, have to rule something out to start and seems like with these diagnostics nothing can be ruled out
Had 357 hours on it. Who knows what they did before! Didn't even bother to seal it back up or worry about leaking. Based on the lack of oil leaking in the area I think someone was just into it
I’ve got the same unit. 46 hours on it, and it starts bogging/losing power after about 15-20 minutes. Fuel supply issue like you said at the beginning of this video?
Definitely where I would start, pretty easy to diagnose if you put a clear fuel filter in line between the pump and carburetor to see if it is running out of fuel
Check each cylinder independently to make sure each is firing. Blown head gasket, carburetor gummed up, one cylinder not firing, bad fuel, etc. The list really goes on but you have to start somewhere and eliminate each one by one. If each cylinder is firing, the fuel is fresh and it does not run better with the choke applied slightly I would want to do a leakdown or compression test to find where the issue is. If it runs better with a little choke check carburetor, fuel supply and possible air leak
Why didn’t you just remove the rear panel to give yourself better access to the cylinder head/rocker arms? Seems harder to work around it than just simply removing the panel.
It wasn't in the way for me when I did this. I work in tight spaces like these and much tighter daily. If it helps you to see what it going on or makes it easier for you by all means take off the panel and get better access. Thanks for watching!
@@IndRepair yr right, my bad you did say it was making noise on that side, and it's hard to hear it when yr in the seat. So I apologize for being presumptuous.

I wonder what the condition is of the other cylinder head?
It was just barely out of spec but we adjusted it also just for good measure. Both studs we secure not loose like this side

How many hours were on the unit? My guess is 200-300 knowing Briggs but somebody has been in there already.

Thanks! We get ours through a distributor but you can find the tester at www.ebay.com/itm/155608498870 I am in no way affiliated with this listing

Z915e. 25hp kohler. Runs perfect at idle but when you push the arms forward it loses power. Any ideas?

@@IndRepair great advice. Thank you so much
@IndRepair is it okay to run it long term with the choke opened slightly?
Glad to help thanks for watching
Running with the choke on partially is ok short term for testing but not something you would want to do long term
Gaps are usually 7 do you agree?
Valve spacing you are speaking of correct? If so, the repair manual show .005" and separate spec charts say .004" to .006"
Next time take the shroud off
For sure
