The Yoshi one for SMW was cool. I figured he’d just act as normal, but the way he got all glitchy and the fights got all weird was interesting
Yeah he gets fucked up because it uses the spritesheet for the castle theme, it does not have some specific yoshi sprites

No no, I like the _lore implications_ that pokeballing a human mutated them into a corrupted pokemon egg. Maybe that's why human DNA is hardwired to be locked out of the pokeball system, but the systems that are needed to give a Master Ball a guaranteed capture ability, kind of break that failsafe...
If the Japanese Sinnoh legends are anything to go by, the reason why human DNA is locked out is that human evolution diverged too much.
If we are going off of Legends: Arceus lore, you physically can’t capture humans since they are incapable of shrinking like Pokémon.
@@crablord8499 plus, according to Pocket Monsters the Animation (a Japan only book by Takeshi Shudo), being able to be converted into data is an inherent property of all Pokémon, so that would automatically be a reason why humans cannot be caught
Actually in that same game black or white 2, one of the films you can star in has that same plot, humans are kept in pokeballs

This bug is actually a lot funnier than the video makes it out to be. IIRC, he will ALWAYS appear in a scene with the bug active, even when Mario isn't on screen, such as cutscenes that show different areas in the world. I'm pretty sure he even invades the Peach sections of the story.
Flavio even follows Peach and Bowser around and will appear in cutscenes, even if other characters don't. If you beat the final boss with him, the final cutscene will have moments where he constantly falls into the water and tries to get into Mario's house.
It's honestly a miracle it doesn't crash the game

For those curious, in Pokémon (Gen 5) the Human is actually a PokéStar Studio opponent. Other opponents include a giant lady and a literal UFO.
Using hacks, those can be caught as well and have the same effect.
What about the boss Pokemon, like Mecha-Tyrannitar or Majin? Sure would be fun to use them, especially Majin since he's a Shedninja with actually good stats
In gen one you can too, just with the catch trainer Pokemon cheat

For the "Pokémon no starter" thing... I think the game doesn't load stuff like wild Pokémon nor Certain NPCs without the "Starter Battle" happening... idk if this is the exact reason, but it is highly likely
The reason is most likely performance related. Fewer objects loaded, better performance (fewer FPS drops or something).
So, how it works is that when a battle happens (in the GB and GBA games) the game will check if you have any usable Pokémon, and if you don't it will bypass the battle entirely
This is the same way it works in older games from RSE onward. Maps will have just enough files loaded for the programmers to see what each tile is supposed to be, but they're very unpolished. The unloaded versions of the maps are really easy to access, since all you have to do is walk around the path you're supposed to go and through the route's border you'll make it to the matching unloaded map. If you do this in an area that doesn't directly connect to a map, then you can access an area that the game calls the "Mystery Zone". It's essentially just a block of solid tiles, and at least in the DS games the tile designs eventually dissappear leaving you in a black or white void. You can actually also trigger this without cheating via a glitch called "tweaking", which you can find on Bulbapedia along with pretty much everything else I said here.

In Pokemon BW2 there's a movie at the Pokestar Studios that has you battling a Black Belt during filming. They gave the Black Belt its own sound despite only being in the game for one segment.
The human one in Pokemon is expected once you hear what Bad Eggs are meant to be. I hope you didn't care much for that save, those things tend to be anticheats that break the game or corrupt your save, and using cheats to remove them tends to make more + your other, non cheat Pokes sometimes turn into more. If it hatches, your game might crash or just hatch another Bad Egg.
That's a pretty genius anti cheat actually.

As a Super Mario World 1 ROM hacker, I saw what was coming in the first scenario from, like, five miles away. Yoshi's tongue glitches out in all those areas because the files the game loads for the sprites' graphics don't have a provision for Yoshi's tongue, loading those glitchy frames in its place. Don't know what happens to cause the Lava Bubble glitch, though.
Some things you missed: If you pass through a crumpled Dry Bones with Yoshi, he'll be triggered into running away even though a crumpled Dry Bones should be harmless. Likewise, Yoshi can't pass through the chain of a Spinner for some reason, nor can he step on gray Bowser Statues safely.
It sounds like you're playing Black 2/White 2 for the Pokémon glitch, so I'm gonna guess the wild human is from PokéStar Studios. Why does the bad egg sound like Jynx??? D:

The DK64 glitch allows you see what Tiny Kong looks like holding a barrel. It also allows you to hear the sounds Lanky makes holding a barrel a lot clearer than you would in his part of the K. Rool fight.
Maybe Jynx is the first Pokemon cry for some reason instead of Bulbasaur?

You can actually keep all PokéStar Studio creatures intact but you need to put them in the box as soon as you get them, only with a pc anywhere cheat.
Then you can only use them in your Battle Box team without them transforming into Bad Eggs. Too bad it's only usable online/local and not for offline play.

Pokémon sword’s debug for Pokémon spawning is pretty crazy. Even in the expansive wild area they won’t spawn until you get your starter.
So, for the sake of the cutscene, Lanky (or whoever Kong cheated his way through the door) will turn into Tiny ? Interesting !
Eating Baby Mario seemed like the best glitch. No longer is Yoshi restrained by weakness. The weakest link is gone and Yoshi is now invulnerable (give or take a few bottomless pits.)

You didn't mention the funniest thing with Flavio! If you use the glitch he will appear in every cutscene after that! Every. Single. One! My personal favorite is the canon one! Mario and companion jump into it, but Flavio doesn't give a damn and he just stands there completely chill. He doesn't even care when the ground right below him opens for the canon!

The Bad Egg is a feature in every single main series game from Gens 3-6. Pretty much if a Pokemon you caught didn't match with what it is supposed to be, then it would have a chance to turn into a Bad Egg. This thing will crash your game if it hatches in earlier gens, but in ones like Gen 5, it will try to hatch at every step. Since it is an egg, it cannot be released and will turn other mons in the same PC box into bad eggs, so keep it in a PC box alone.
For the yoshi one in the castle, i think they didn't allow him cause they didn't want to reprogram his entire AI so he wouldn't just swallow the bosses whole

I believe for the first generation of Pokemon games, if you get into a battle without a Pokemon of your own, the phrase "Hurry, get away!" will loop until you run. Even if it's a trainer battle.
If that's true it's interesting that a 1st generation game would have a failsafe when the newer generation doesnt
