Having a sleep schedule of 'sleep whenever I want' is a good way to get insomnia and depression. It sounds fun until you're completely nocturnal and become a complete mess. Not that I'm...speaking from experience or anything

Tried it. At first it was nice and I was like "I can finally sleep longer! yes" until I started to become lazier and felt like my mood was going down. After taking anatomy classes, I understood why, so now I try my best to sleep early with all the lights out. so far my mood has gotten more positive and don't feel like shit all the time.
Mia Yeah, I feel you. At one point after high school I became completely nocturnal, and not seeing sunlight for weeks (or rather, not seeing it until right before going to sleep) really, really messes with your brain. Lots of seemingly reasonless feelings of depression and days where I just couldn’t sleep. All get better once I got back into the 16 on/8 off habit, and going to bed at reasonable hours.
I'm the opposite. Being nocturnal was the best choice I ever made. Finally not cranky and anxious all the time from forcing myself into light, barely-usable sleep when it didn't feel right. I also work at night now, and it feels much better for me.

A Bitter Experience if you go to the artifact category on twitch and change it from live stream to videos, you’ll find past broadcasts of artifact from the past few days and if you filter it enough, you’ll find the top viewed streams. One of them is Pulp Fiction, but twitch must have removed most of the popular streams because Endgame isn’t on there. John Wick is on there though, but I think it’s only the second one.

I forget where I saw the documentary, but it followed this woman who lived underground for a crazy amount of time. Eventually with no sunlight, you end up being awake for 18-20 hours and sleeping around 10

I opened the podcast so I can listen to it as I go to bed because I'm not tired. The first conversation is them talking about how you should just go to bed when you get tired and wake up when you want to. Bruh moment
in medieval times, middle class and higher people commonly slept twice in the night. They'd go to bed fairly early, nap for a few hours, wake up in the middle of the night, walk around the courtyard or have a snack or a glass of wine and go back to bed. They referred to the second nap as "second sleep". I personally have a hard time sleeping at night and can only sleep easy during the day, so I got a night job lol.

I did Andrew's whole "natural sleep schedule" thing and I ended up being nocturnal.
Keep in mind with the oculus quest.
It doesn't have modded beat saber and vr chat which is 90% of what people play on vr.
Another thing is it only runs at 72fps/72hz. Which on a normal game is perfectly fine, but if the world around you at 72hz you'd get notjon sick pretty fast, 90h is fine, but less seems jittery and like you're moving your head under water.
The fov being only 95° more exacerbating the tunnel look where there's just massive black areas out side the screen area really ruins immersion. It's like your in an old fashion divers suit.
The vive and other are 110° with new headsets going as high as 200° and 120hz.
If you want a cheap vr experience right now the best choice is the windows mixed reality headsets, the dell, lenovo and Samsung ones match or exceed the specs of both the oculus and the vive for less than $200 with inside out tracking like the oculus quest. So no sensors needed to be set up.
Good news. The quest now has nodded beat saber and vrchat. And you can hook it up to your pc to play any steam vr or rift games.
