Horrible roadways. All cracked, beat up, chewed up, neglected....trash on the side of the roadways. So gross! USA needs to invest more in its infrastructure.

Can't speak for the city, but out east we typically only do a full repaving once every 10-15 years or so. Some roads end up being a patchwork of fixes though. The Highways that are concrete are a different matter depending how poorly they get patched, they may have to replace the entire section (which they obviously want to avoid due to traffic concerns).
