I slept fine when Hurricane Maria came by Puerto Rico. I only woke up when Irma hit before that because the window next to my bed was broken and it kept banging. To my understanding it just depends on how well the house was made.
Shoot we have hurricane parties in the south, not time to sleep when you’re hanging with your pals. Solo hurricane parties are nice too. Get all cozy, grab a book and a headlamp, take a nice snooze.
I live in Michigan the worst we really get is flooding and an occasional tornado and very light earthquake like knocked over lawn chairs light now if you want to talk lakes storms on the lakes especially superior are horrible
