To those who don't know, the reason the narrator keeps saying *The Specter's* name like that is because it's part of his anomaly. Whenever he's referred to as *The Specter* or even *SCP 4494* whether in writing or spoken it will always be done with 'dramatic flare'. Also as a side note, he's a rare type known as Archon, which means the Foundation could contain him, but doing so would cause too much harm to the natural world.

I think what Nux is missing in the SCP Foundation's strategy is that Homelander is just another thing to contain. Pulling out the big guns like 096 is already more trouble than this loser is worth, nevermind the lizard.
It's like refusing to show medical information out of principle after you've already used your diagnosis to justify scamming people; entirely redundant and backwards.

I like how this video assumes that the Foundation would just try a bunch of heavy hitting weapons and not really use any of their more esoteric resources to handle him like they easily could. He has nothing they haven't seen before. Hell, most of his abilities are something SCP-682 has had at some point.

Depends on which Foundation this one is. Their policy's would prevent their usage. It would take a loss of around 300 million for the Foundation to use scp's.

Fighting 682 is an awful idea, especially if you have supper powers and broken abilities are the especially dangerous ones. Of course if Homelander decided to rip the thing apart it would just regenerate and grow physically stronger and faster but at least you could escape it. Just leave that thing alone and it’s just the SCP foundations problem

To be fair, Homelander could zip off to a lab and bring back a whole tank of acid exceedingly quickly. Acid immobilizes 682, as it burns and regenerates from nearby matter. So Homelander could just continuously submerge 682 in acid and it'll never be able to move to try and strike him. Then, he could just fly away while 682 tries to deal with a lake of acid and the SCP foundation has to try and contain 682 again while dealing with a lake of acid. No time to go after Homelander, not that they even could.

The scp foundation has (semi) canonically beaten and contained an entire chapter of astarties, their librarians, their accompanying mechanicum and human supporters, and their ships. They even recruited a few of them to work as mtfs and researchers. I doubt a superman ripoff would give them much of a hassle

Jokes aside, it really depends on which canon Homelander is in. Some versions it'd be a piece of cake, some it'd take a lot of manpower and lives lost, and some would have to resort to nuclear bombardment.

Real way the Foundation would contain powerhouses like Homelander, Omni man, Superman or Goku: just some good old Memetics or Amnestics
But the real answer to the question if the foundation could contain X, or if SCP X could beat character X is: "depends on the writer, but the chinese branch is stronger"
Powescaling in the SCP community isn't really a core thing, I mean there are people who do it, but the writers don't really care about it very much

Exploring series might be too slow paced. I've seen his stuff, its decent, but feels more like a lecture than entertainment sometimes.

The impact of a lot of SCP entries comes from the details of the story and the characters in them but content farms often omit important information or poorly convey SCPs just to save time and chug out more content.

Lets be honest if the SCP foundation existed in this universe they'd have moles hidden within any big corporations like Vought feeding them all the secret information on homelander and their other experiments from day one. With this they'd probably have developed a specialised counter measure using anomolous or scientific means long before he ever became an issue. TBH they'd probably contain him the second he debutted as a super hero since he'd threaten normalicy and just use amnestics to make everyone forget he ever existed.
Laser vision, super strength, x-ray vision, flight, none of these powers even compare to the shit the GOC and SCP foundation deal with daily. Just cover an entire city in ultra sonic sound emitters, lure him in with an anti-homelander protest or something, then temporarily incapacite him and send in a team like Tau-5 Samsara to secure him and then just put him in a titanium box coated in zinc and constantly fill it with anestesia so he's kept in a permanent coma.
Pretty sure the entire point of the video is "What if Homelander appeared in the SCP universe" not "What if the SCP Foundation existed in The Boys universe".

They spent over half the video just clarifying the circumstances under which Homelander changes from hero to villain so that the SCP Foundation had reason to intervene (which is already stupid, second he was anomalous the SCP foundation would have stepped in), and in their battle they mention knowing of and going to the actual Vought tower which in a Homelander crossing dimensions scenario the building wouldn't even exist, thus the hypothetical has clearly implying this video was a "What if the SCP Founadtion existed in The Boys universe".
Basically SCP wouldn even allow Vought to exist in the first place

The "miniature sun" is essentially a fusion reactor. They're getting close to achieving this on Earth RL. They just recently broke the break-even threshold where more power is generated than put in. Don't need portals to space to keep it stable. Magnets work fine.
The SCP explained is usually a retold version of already written stories, or just made up based on the originals for entertainment rather then accuracy.

Probably unrelated, but when homelander vs the rumbling was brought up, it reminded me of a video Goji center made that had Godzilla take on the rumbling. You should check them out, they're monster matchup and ways to die videos would be a good way to expand the amount of lore for you to consume.

SCP 7211 is an easy hard counter to Homelander without having to release any potentially uncontrollable SCPs like the lizard.

Literally all they would need is MTF Samsara. They're immortal demigod cyborgs. This is way more effort than the Foundation needed. Heck there are versions of Dr Clef that are straight up reality warpers, if not Adam al Asem Himself.

All they need is SCP 7122 - The camera. If you take a photo of a person and then delete it they straight up just die, if you delete the metadata of the photograph you essentially delete their soul and they become a catatonic husk. I think i remember they used it to copy the metadata of two photographs and swap them around, effectively swapping consciousness. Not to mention all the different memory chemicals and stuff they use suppress some anomalies.
They don't use SCPs for containment purposes unless the estimated loss of life is at least 300M people.

Or use one of the many, many types of amnestics to erase his brain. Maybe lure him to the Gate Guardian, which has easily enough power to kill him in one shot, and won’t leave its post afterwards. Heck, honestly, it’s be pretty funny if they lure him to the Old Man, and he just gets terrorized. Maybe he’s so evil that the Tickle Monster decides to consume him like it did with its Clockwork replica? Anyways. they have plenty of methods to silence him. Probably some much more subtle ones as well.

The foundation has way better ways to kill or contain him. Like showing him a picture that instantly kills you, or using a reality anchor witch would just make him powerless. They have ways to just kill anyone anywhere. There's a library they have (Alexandria) where if you change a person's book about them it changes reality, or erases them if you destroy it. There's also multiple reality benders that can just turn him into a wrench or somthing. Or they could portal him to somewhere else.
Nux got to watch the live action short films for the SCP those would be awesome to react too.
Fun fact the comic established that while he’s pretty dang invulnerable to and explosive resistant he can’t withstand or survive a nuke other than the special Homelander piercing rounds that ended him it was one of Vought contingencies if Black Noir failed.

An easy way to kill Homelander is just tell cane to insult Homelander and broadcast his location.
I mean of course it had to go this way otherwise the video would've been at most like 5 minutes. There's tons of Euclid (probably even some safe) SCPs that could have neutralized a threat like Homelander with ease, like just encourage him to attack SCP-073 - "Cain" (reflects any and all damage) or see if SCP-049 thinks he has the "Pestilence" (instant death from contact). I mean the classifications aren't an indication of how dangerous they are, just how aggressive or difficult to contain they are. So no need to release an even more dangerous and harder to contain entity just to deal with him.
