Today the Drain Addict finds himself between a rock and hard place or maybe concrete. Ratty sniffs out the CRS-38 is plugged and helps clean the line. In the end better out then end as they say! Great Job Ratty!
It's a rare Nozzle Blocked Drain Unblocker to Unblock Drain Block Episode. And Ollie got to work for Batman cleaning out his Batcave drain pipes. That is one heckuva stormwater drain.
I believe that orange trash bag deserves a standing ovation. I was 100% convinced the bottom was going to blow out the minute you tried to pick it up. I was wrong.
Just had a spare 5 minutes so thought I'd check anything new on CZcams... seen this posted and got excited for bedtime for when I can watch it! I already know it's going to be a good one! 👍🏻🇬🇧
Wow, It’s amazing how much fit in that space!!! 😮 You do such a great job getting to the bottom of the problem and then fixing it. 👍🏼 - watching you work is so relaxing (although my family thinks I’m crazy for this being my favorite past-time.) thank you for sharing your work.
I love how thorough you are. I see other jetters on youtube that would have given up as soon as they saw the cement or said it was done as soon as it started flowing. You're the only one that would have put so much effort into making sure the job was done completely and correctly.
Crazy how big that storm water pit is! Im guessing this area is prone to flooding. Great work Ollie. Just shows how effective high pressure water is to be able to break up concrete.
If you're not local - Sydney can get 200mm (or 8 inches) or more of rain in a single event, but this is likely an shared easement - typically an old creek that has been covered over.
from years of concreting experience, it looks like the fine slurry that's washed out from a wheelbarrow or agitator truck once the load was finished. Yikes. Not the ideal place to wash out into a storm drain.
@@thims1961 that cement there in the drain was fine slurry, with no aggregate in it which is why it was brittle. I don't think a concrete cutter would have been the way to go because there is a good chance it would damage the piping and make a whole new problem.
@@Nick-wh4jt Concrete cutter would have taken out any clay let alone PVC/AGI piping before it affected the concrete eh! should have been obvious thanks
I'm just so grateful to have Ollie's videos accompanying me through lunch all the time. Small or massive drains, always a joy to watch him tackle them. 👍🏼👍🏼
33:33 nice big storm sewers, reminds me of the larger ones we use to play down in in the 80's, we use to have fireworks wars down in them with firecrackers 🧨 & bottlerockets ,it would be so loud in there ,you see rats 🐀 galore & the opening was large enough to drive a car down in them, there was a VW Beetle down in there
Your the best Ollie even though I live in the United States we need good Men like you God bless you and your family and friends I'll always be praying for all of you
What an epic i half expected you to have to go digging well done and with ratty directing the operation, have never seen such a huge drain like that. Always something different on your channel love it.
Watched your videos for a long time. Pipes are so tough some times, but that big box culvert is what we handle and it was cool to see it from someone’s different perspective
I had a similar issue years back at Campbelltown. Previous owner had exposed agg concrete yards. The concretors forgot to flush the drain properly. Took years to get rid of the cured slurry.
Dear Ollie, you are one of a kind in your workdfield….. committed to full fill the job correctly . Most men do their job easy and halfway . Always a pleasure to watch your uploads …….thanks Greetings Holland
Ive seen you clear scale before, but this is a lot.I havent seen your mate Phil in a long time, I hope he is doing well. Excellent video, keep up the good work!
WOW! Great job, Ollie! What a pile of scale! And that pit was a little freaky. I wouldn’t have enough nerves to look down in it. I would be afraid the clown from the movie IT would be lurking! And the fuzzy weeds! I would love to see them in my yard instead of the snow we got earlier! Have a blessed week!😊
Ollie!!!! Brother!!!!! Just think!!!! How many more are exactly like this one. I spoke to a contractor and suggested that he not, pour liquid hydraulic down the city drain. His response was I know your an environmental nut. We have permission to do just that. I explained to him that I could care less about that, it will harden and block the 6” pipe. The underground 36” and above pipe, can handle it. Well done Ollie!!!! Well done. P.S. my late father was Operation Engineers Number 3. He never!!!! Poured any concrete down any drain, it went into a storage tank with a massive open valve.
A complex process that involves the use of the water pressure and force of the water. Experience was the best episode I’ve ever seen! You’re the best, Ollie, no doubt about it! See you on the next! Cheers mate! 🇦🇺🙂👍🇺🇸
A long while ago I made a comment about how your videos made me want to become pursue a career in plumbing, been doing it for a few months now and I really enjoy it
I used to live near a flood way that ran underneath apartments and came out around the back area where we parked. Massive tunnels miles long and people lived under there also. Always saw furniture and trash floating out when the rains came.
This is the scale that never ends. Yes it goes on and on, my friends. Poor Ollie started clearing it not knowing what it was And now he'll keep on clearing it forever just because This is the scale that never ends...
..thats not a drain! thats a tunnel!! we used to run thru them as kids.. is a few where I grew up, playgrounds for us roughians.. lol you took loads out of the drain, but to see how much that got pushed through into the tunnel was shocking!! well done Ollie..
That looked like a tough one Ollie. First field strip the CRS38, then pull out the screwdriver, but as you say better out than in! Not to mention the size of the drain pit! 👍
My goodness, what a load of concrete! Looks like you got it all out and even flushed a load of it down into the drain tunnel. Amazing job Ollie! "I got a bit of concrete left, aaah it'll wash down..." Well, NO, it won't :D
The drain to hell! That's what comes to mind when you showed it. Yikes! Reminds me of horror movie drains, when some weird monster comes out and terrorizes everyone. I guess a monster DID come out of that drain. WOW! The amount of concrete was crazy! STUPENDOUS WORK OLLIE!

An opportunity has been missed. That big drain, that dripping sound, a good script and there could be a 'found tape' movie made. Or a movie where Ollie has to do the same job but ends up saving the person stuck in the drain. 🥴👍
DA showcases his concrete results on this job. Best channel on CZcams! Cheers from South Florida.
Totally agree! Cheers from Kansas City.
That’s right he’s the best we need a super cool and honest guy like him in nyc

Been watching these videos for two long, I now walk around looking a drains and saying “Blocked Drain” with an Aussie accent. Cheers from the UK 😄👍
😂 same here. My wife then says "ratty" or "cockies"
Look up Drain Cleaning Ausralia, will get ya accent spot on!
- He talks ALOT
So when the storm water pit collapses, it takes your house with it. YIKES. Great documentation as always.
First thing I thought when you poked your head in there was, "Well, at least THAT isn't blocked!"
Ollie must have a pretty long neck 😂
imagine watch a video after having a bad day and the youtuber straight up blows a dandelion into you. what a wholesome person🙂

oh my god that drain... you were NOT lying when you said it was massive. It's actually kinda creepy.
People probably live down there
Enough room for a Croc down there
If I lived there I would have to widen that hole so I could go and have a wonder down there

Always does an excellent job and cleans up after he is done
I have never seen a drain like that for a house. Doesn't seem practical at all. Unless you're a ninja turtle.
Or maybe a Batman villain.
Way to get it done Ollie ,that problem was caused by a contractor dumping their waste in the storm drain
Watched your videos for a long time. Pipes are so tough some times, but that big box culvert is what we handle and it was cool to see it from someone’s different perspective
You were able to Bust through and several chunks of concrete are down in the larger sewer. Great job, Ollie. 👍🙏
That’s one huge central city drain system going under peoples properties. That will never get blocked
You are tempting fate by saying this!
Watching the clean up is as exciting to me as the job . U do a fab job x
