reminds me of Hearthstone ladder, where people will just concede if they get a bad match-up for the deck they are playing because it's more rank per hour to just lose those games immediately and queue again.

Seriously, the BEST games are the ones where you come back from nothing. Wins like that literally satisfy a part of my soul. You never get to experience that by b**ch-quitting.

Love that lesson at the end. Don't quit. Losing is a learning experience. I've been doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 2 years now and the first thing you have to come to terms with is losing gracefully and accepting it as part of the journey because it'll happen often. A motto in bjj is tap early and tap often. Inflated ego will either make you quit or you'll injure yourself trying to prove how tough you are.
So tough until you break!

I never give up. I’ve staged many impressive comebacks and won numerous games from seemingly losing positions. Just yesterday, I made a bold move that initially failed to eliminate a bot, who had 4 cards that I desperately needed to survive in the game. This left me with only Iceland and a capital, and card-blocked for about 10 rounds. Despite this, I won the game because everyone focused on attacking the strongest player, who had been dominating and bullying us all. I recognized and seized my opportunities when they arose.

Best comeback I ever had, I got neighbor capped and noob spammed in round 2, noob got amazing dice, a homie that saw the noob slam let me rebuild in a pocket in russia, and I kept getting lucky cards on 3, rebuilt enough to take back original cap and noob cap, and KILL THE NOOB! Went in to win and gave homie, who was probably kill guarding but let me live, second place. Wish I had a recording of it. But yes, don’t bitch quit cause you never know what happens on these unpredictable boards.

Quitting strikes me as ignoble. It's also annoying as it throws the balance of the game out of kilter, especially if you don't notice for a turn and are playing a bot in the way you've learned to play that player. GG and spectacular comeback there, Pete.

Watching you use neutral bots has completely changed the game for me. I really enjoy it so much more. Nothing stinks more imo when a player who quits gets a higher placement than one who stuck it out till the end (but was killed by their opponent before the bots).
I can try some neutral bots again with the normal meta settings and see if that's enjoyable.
@@TheKillPeteStrategy I like to play Europe Advanced Fixed Caps, True Random, Neutral Bots, Fog and Blizzards. I've really enjoyed these settings lately
PETE!! I just did my first round in the world champs, went up against 2 GMs, 2 Ms, and an expert, as a new intermediate. I was obliterated in the first round in prog, but won the second game in fixed!! Couldn’t have done it without your tips!

Hey Pete, I raged quit because of cheaters, then a hour or so later (after watching one of your videos) ,I downloaded the game again and told myself that cheaters you'll always find and I continue to learn, I've only been playing for about 2 weeks now, but I took out a GM after downloading the game again ( pretty much how you won this game) much love from south africa
The cheating is definitely annoying but I don't get it enough to ruin my love of the good times.

I only quit games when basically almost every player screws me over by slamming, and quit, then the only player that wasn't screwed over plays SUPER FREAKING SLOW and takes too long to kill me
I will never understand people who think that players who quit games should receive a penalty, even if the game is FFA. The penalty involves transferring your ranking points to someone else. However, I believe the proper way to fix the bot-out scumbag strategy problem would be to not give them the place their bot won. If we lock their place when they leave, like a natural bot does, then we wouldn't have a problem.
I won a game when I had lost my capital in the open game. Had a single position left. Just slowly stacked troops. Then eventually swept the board. No reason to ever bot out

I prefer when he doesn't yell; every start game he yells annoys me.
I ask this as a learning question; why would we not want to have capped in scandinavia? I believe you mentioned that it didnt give you easy access to the middle- but would that not have favored you long term as you expanded west over to Iceland and GB? early bonus and a one point defence to the east-
I guess that does leave your best asset on the field in a secluded spot- but you'd almost never have to worry about the east and very unlikely someone would spend the troops to try and steal it.
EDIT: In hindsight, perhaps the above is an unfair question- I guess a better one would be, could you expand upon your initial thought process/gut feeling towards the russia cap vs the Skandinavian cap?
I don't generally consider capping on a 1 in the 5th or 6th seat because of the risk of one of my opponents rolling my cap before I get a turn.

Pete the problem is time sure green could have stuck around and fought you for another 20 mins then lost, but they have a life, spending you finite life in lost causes esspecially when it is just a game doesn't make sense to a lot of people.

To answer your question."how the f does blue have 14." Today i was in a game where red was completely broken on 2 sides. Got 7 troops per turn and couldnt win so he decided to keep spamming troops. He got a card exchange every turn and started with putting 80 on the board. Several turns. Still couldnt win so then he decided he had to out 300 troops per turn. Sadly there is no such thing as an admin so ye. Reported him. I wish they would just save the match whenever a report is filed and then look at the replay. Player name was 123. I really feel like abandoning this great game if people can just spam infinite numbers of troops and get cardtrades every single round.

One game I was left with a single non-cap territory that was a 3 and I was on 3 cards. I set once and card skipped the rest of the game so that I was on 0 cards and the least profitable kill out there. I managed to get 4th in that game where I surely should've gotten 6th.
Why does my phone always go to 360p even though the default is 480p? I blame purple.
ive seen people in insane leading positions bot out and feed the game to the person almost dead lol. I never leave a game. SMG needs to work on some sort of system to prevent it. i get quitting if the other player is just stalling, but thats easy enough to see from a development side. If you have over like.. 1% of the total on board troops and you bot out.. you should receive a like 10-20 minute timeout from joining another game.
Nah Pete they bitched out but that’s why they call it risk. Some are willing to go all in where as others rather walk away

Can anyone answer, is it common to win 1:1 troop hits not on capital? Wether 5 attacking 5, 20 to 20 or 100 to 100, I swear whenever I try that kind of attack I lose but people have got very clutch plays against me by winning an attack like that
The probability to win a 1v1 is markedly different to a 100v100. In all cases (except for caps of course) the larger the number the higher the advantage of the aggressor. For accurate probability calculations search on Google; there are countless sites with tables and online calculators
The higher the number the more likely it is to go even. 100 v 100 is nearly a 100% roll while 5 v 5 is roughly 50% odds.

Man, all those people botting, they seem to have run to your comment section to show their booty and drop a generic comment. Also, players like yellow who just slam a cap on turn one and then bot out. You could write down their names and boot them from your lobby whenever they pop up again, but I imagine that would make filling up a lobby even more of an ordeal, but that could be one way to deal with it.
I'm full of anxiety 12 minutes in, it has been 1 capital turn and then 4 regular turns, and it feels like you've absolutely fumbled the ball, but that some of your opponents made sub-optimal capital placements, and aren't great , and maybe are only being partially punished for their choices, it feels like you could be in some many other places doing other things, also also those dice rolls were awful. You in the video don't know what is about to transpire, nor do I, but i read the title... Craziest Comeback so... Should be good watching. We'll see how it shakes.
