This is one of their progier songs and it's a masterpiece. It's melodic storytelling at its best.
Second remark: Singer Asami usually writes the lyrics herself (mostly in Japanese, then translating it to English, partly with the help of native English speakers, although she herself lived several years in the US for educational purposes. Her casual English is also much better than what she sings (with respect to pronunciation, etc.), because she tries to let it sound good regardless of whether you can understand it or not. She also uses some tricks with additional vowels and consonants to change words, which can sound awkward from time to time. Love it!
And I generally like her strong and sometimes flowery lyrics, they have mostly a positive and uplifting message.

Love these girls. I've heard their music described as a "love letter to the 80's", and as an old school metal head I agree. Best band in years. 🤘🤘
Absolutely a love letter to 80s metal. I've been re-listening to some albums from those legendary 80s metal bands, and even though they have plenty of good songs, overall their music is below the level of an average LOVEBITES song (in my opinion). I find myself skipping the occasional song, something I never do when listening to LOVEBITES.

Rising and Shadowmaker are my favorites you may love the message behind Rising.

A new EP and a live DVD/Blu-ray both will be released on August 28.
„LOVEBITES EP II“ will contain new songs and also a re-recording of the band’s debut „THE LOVEBITES EP“ for a limited edition.
„Memorial of the Warrior Souls“ is the live recording of last year‘s Tokyo concert during the Judgement Day tour. It features 7 live versions of songs from the „Judgement Day“ album including „Soldier stands solitarily“. And also the pre-release „We are the resurrection“ which was the opening track for this show.
Just a little explanation: Japanese audiences are special, supporting a band. This is from 2020, but even on the concert, that took place one year later on March 26th, 2021, in the midst of a Covid-19 lockdown in Japan, they made some decent support. LOVEBITES were allowed to play and record, but there were heavy restrictions on the audience, not filled too much (social distancing, empty seats inbetween), just decent clapping, no yelling, no sing-along-ing, etc. Nonetheless, it was a good concert with some great performances (check out "A Frozen Serenade" from that evening!). But this explains, that most of the power went to the arms of the audience. Decent interaction with the crowd anyway! This 2020 show from one year before (also in Tokyo, but different venue) has marked a milestone of LOVEBITES live performances. "Five Of A Kind" came with their new (3rd) full album "Electric Pentagram", a perfect show, good venue, great production, topping even the 2019 show DOTD, delivering most of the iconic live footage, we can find on CZcams right now. A break through.
With respect, your explanation is correct for Heavy Metal Never Dies, but this is from Five Of A Kind, a year earlier.
A different venue with no floor seating, everyone standing right next to each other and allowed to yell as we hear when Asami holds her long note at 3:18 in this reaction video. The beginning of "The Awakening" for the encore shows the audience all standing together, few masks & chanting "LOVEBITES, LOVEBITES ... "
Also the start of "Holy War" shows the audience clearly.

A Frozen Seranade was from a different show. This one was from 2020, the Five of a Kind show. A Frozen Seranade is from 2021, the Ride for Vengeance tour (Heavy Metal Never Dies DVD).
Guys, I'll have to apologize, you are right, this was the FOAK show in Zepp DiverCity 2020! It was probably too late in the night, I really messed it up. Instead of removing it, I'll try to edit it, that it makes sense, because my recommendation stands!

Your reactions were wonderful, I loved how you actually paused and gave real emotional responses to the song. Lovebites is one of the most amazing bands I have ever heard in my decades of music. Every single one of those artists are virtual also and the lyrics are transcendent.

Nice Reaction. I think you are really going to enjoy exploring Lovebites. Vocalist Asami writes almost all of the lyrics, and they are generally deep, meaningful, and uplifting. Doesn't hurt that she has a great voice, and is singing for one of the best Metal bands on the planet these days. 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
TBF - the crowd were happy to be there and quite willing to obey the VERY strict Covid protocols that were in place in Japan at the time - they were extremely limited in what they could do re. moving about , cheering etc .
BTW - as you said you're new to songs with instrumental sections a small piece of constructive advice - try NOT to stop in the middle of guitar solos ( or any solos ) as it will save you getting a world of pain in the comments ( and it tends to break the flow of the song more ) just wait until they're finished - and then gasp with admiration ! 😉

They coud'nt jump there was Covid19 time and restrictions but Japan even was hard time did'nt let the peaples down and to not enjoy concerts with all the respect of the Covid restrictions ..and...., Lovebites gived to them what they expected ...a grat musical moment...Magic and Fantastic Lovebites.

you begin to understand metal music and feel its beauty. Rap is determined mainly by the rhythm of the words, whereas metal is determined by the melody of the guitars. It's sometimes said that the guitar talks, because the sounds make you think of someone telling a story. When you go beyond the speed and aggressiveness of metal you discover what is melodious, and that's what gives you the chills. I wish you all the best with this music, and there's no better place to discover it than Lovebites.

This is a really moving song! All of the so-called "E" songs are like this. I recommend Epilogue and Empty Daydream, 100%. Very beautiful songs and well written. Most of the songs Lovebites write have a positive message. They can do a power ballad like this, or double kick drum you right off the stage. Sometimes both at the same time! A little emotional rollercoaster ride that these ladies take you on, isn't it? ... From my point of view, there are 5 singers on stage here, one of whom uses her voice and the others their instruments to sing and express their emotions. And they are all phenomenal at it. ❤🔥🤘🏻
