should 1/2oz - 3/4oz weights be used on ultralight rods with a lure rating up to 1/4oz or should i use a 1/4oz weight?
Yes with ultra lights it’s best to stick to there raitings you can get away using heavier gear but just be carful as the are super fragil and a wrong cast with extra weight can snap a rod real quick
so the power bait floats up with the hook?
Yes make sure you using a small enough hook so that the small glob of bait or power egg will keep you leader afloat off the bottom…I usually test it in the water before casting
