    I like this Coach. I never thought to do this as a ball handling drills. Nice to know. I will put this in my routine.

      a few things: they help w/ overall coordination, hand/arm speed and proprioception (your brain's ability to know where your body's limbs are in time and space).
      you should notice too if you start dribbling after these drills that it takes less time to get a good feel for the ball in your hands.
      you also get a "quicker" feel for the ball--meaning if you receive a crappy pass or you're dribbling and the ball does something funky, your hands will react quicker and you'll regain control more easily.
      lastly--these kind of drills are PERFECT for warm-up--a good 5-10 minutes does the trick.
