Even with the lower quality voice acting and sound effects, this was a much more emotive ending. Holding back a few tears when I saw Shepard putting up Anderson‘s name. Would’ve been a beautiful ending to the best trilogy of games I’ve ever played.
Hate to hurt your positivity, but they might be working on an ME4. There was a clip of Liara picking up a piece of N7 armor in a snowy location.
@@suckmymiddlefinger4350 I’ve seen that. How does that hurt my positivity though? If the game seems really bad then I’ll wait ages to buy it, played Pokemon for 9 years but Sword and Shield look awful so I just didn’t buy them and play other pokemon games instead.

@@Plzstandbuy Oh hell no, I don't think they're even capable of making an enjoyable time-killing phone game. For andromeda I can't even make it past the first two missions the angarans give you without getting bored and turning it off. Same with dragon age inquisition, I shut it off after an hour because of the stupid website shit and it was just boring.

I don't care what anybody says, this ending is canon to me.
It would be better if the mod did just a little better with the voices. Don't get me wrong, I agree 100% but there were a couple scenes with joker's tone in relation to the scenes. Also when Shepard says "is that you joker?" It seemed a little... too casual is the best way I can describe it... that and the music at the end seemed a little too constant, I guess. Lastly (and this is in no way the mod author's fault) as he/she didn't have the assets in order to make the cutscene where Shepard would be putting Anderson's name on the wall a bit more... happy?I know it was supposed to be a sad scene, but still.. But I give the mod author major props for being able to put all that together. Overall 9/10
@@blazeoftherazgrizsquadron9306 I agree, but I don't think there was really much the MEHEM team could do regarding voices (except for maybe using better-quality microphones). I don't think any of ME's voice actors/actresses would've been willing to step up to help with this, even if it were just to contribute a single sentence.
Overall, I'm happy with MEHEM too, plus it's compatible with the Tali Romance Mod so that's a mega bonus in my book. I honestly think the ME community would've been happier overall if they added in an ending like MEHEM's. No more "pick your favourite colour and be disappointed!" or "grind your ass off to get a one second shot of Shepard taking a gasp!"
@@RavenholmZombie Agreed, and I get that there are those who prefer a darker, "sacraficial hero" ending. But that's the beauty of Mass Effect, choosing our own path. At least give us the option for a semi "happy ending" so to speak, or maybe a super secret one where you have to beat the game on the hardest difficulty (kind of like Halo's Legendary difficulty and how it almost always includes an extra ending). Oh well, at least the "Destroy" ending has Shepard surviving if you have enough military strength.
Except for where this guy screwed up and got Miranda killed.

@@noble7ify thats the mass effect trilogy remaster right? Rumor say that it also prepares for a canon ending for an eventual ME Andromeda and trilogy storyline merge. My head canon is destroy ending took place while shepard survived. Although the game will be about finding shepard due to rumors of his/her survival.
This is really the best ending to the game. If bioware had made this ending, then the game wouldn’t have faced so much controversy.
This was the sort of ending the was intended but the developers were rushed and therefore the ending came out worse as a result.

My head canon is Shepherd and my girl Tali eventually finding each other and building that home on Rannoch together. No ones gonna convince me otherwise.
That is most of our ending right there. No love lost, and no trouble afterwards but building a home.

Well technically Shepard does live if you have enough readiness points, but what I like about this is I got to see Shepard reunite with his friends, in the base game it’s merely a tease and then his S/O refusing to put his name on the board, but in this I get to see Shepard and Tali reunite (best girl obviously) and I liked it much better this way.
Fun fact, there was a short-lived companion app you could connect to your file, that would see various characters "text" you as you progress through the game. For example, Tali would drunk-text you after Miranda's mission, and then another wondering what the hell happened to her spell-checker the next morning.
If you got the "Shepard lives" teaser scene in the Destroy ending, you would get a text from someone (I think your love-interest?) confirming that Shepard is in fact recovering in the hospital in the aftermath.

Bruh. So I was rebought the series a few years ago on my laptop cause I didn’t have an Xbox at the time. I had never downloaded the patch for the ending so when I’m running to the beam again for the first time ready to get to the end all of a damn sudden. Tali and Garrus get bloodied up Normandy is coming in and I’m just sitting there going wth? Pick her up get her to the ship as it’s flying in; me WTH? Tali “don’t leave me behind” me: WTF IS GOING ON! TALI!!!!! Tali: “Come back to me” me knowing the inevitable (didn’t have mods at the time) 😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 adult ending my ass. Pretty sure I had to stop playing for a bit I was not ready for that.

Miranda died....I though his play-through was perfect until I saw that. Awesome mod though. Gives the ending a better feel.
I must admit that I am playing that right now first time in my life and made few mistakes already. Chosen blue ass instead of much more interesting relationship. Lost Miranda, didnt Ask Ashley to join. Now I know that I leave the students and lost Jack too. I need to finish it today and start again.

I know this is kind of giving away the money only for abit of better graphics (for most of the time) but I am willing to pay. Not to mention I need to wait a bit and forget part of this game to discover her again.

@@Hito_Hito_Fruit_model_UncleSam That is something I moght do as well. This is a biggest problem with games on console. YOu need to accept it as it is. They even created my favourite Morrowind on Xbox but its vanilla version and lets be honest it is not the most beautiful game ever existed.
They basically told us every ending is its own cannon... so why not just give us the cheesey, everything worked out what a happy end, ending everyone wanted for their Shepard? Maybe even use it as maximum galactic readiness ending so that feature would of had an actual purpose!
exactly what i always wanted. if you put in the work and get the score high enough, you should be able to get a happy ending and watch shepard ride off into the sunset with whoever is your romance pick.
The ending to Mass Effect 3 made the entire series pointless to me. It's like everything you did everything you worked for was for absolutely nothing pretty much none of your choices really matter. A lot of people said it was an adult ending but it just took away from everything else

You just cured millions of gamers of PTSD after the original left so many people traumatized and destroyed emotionally. After three games stretched over a five year period you would think they would have had more respect for the people who built their characters, saved the aliens they loved, and developed relationships. ...but noooo....they destroyed the ending and the gamers. Even the altered endings left people no better off.
I wonder how many people played all the different endings over and over again hoping for a different result....proving they were mentally and emotionally damaged by Bioware....LOL Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result is how you define insanity.
Bioware should send you a check and an N7 Metal for fixing the ending.
i just started the trilogy. i got addicted and attached to this game. i played 2 and 3 all over again and again just to see different results. the ending of the third game really gave me a depression. its emotionally devastating and mentally exhausting.
I really wanted to see shepheard just reunite with the crew, if they did that, it would be all fine, but no they just leave him on an cliff taking an breath

@@Hito_Hito_Fruit_model_UncleSam I think this is the real problem with the ending. No matter how much you do, no matter what decisions you make, or how you handle things, the ending plays out the exact same NMW.
If I remember the only actual gameplay change comes from the leviathans(a DLC and only affecting two enemies). Imagine having some of those forces you built up actually doing things to help you on the ground. Allies coming, going and actually showing up. Never mind the endings needing some actual variation.
I could see an end where you did so badly everyone dies. The one we got stuck with where you succeed but don't survive yourself. And the one we all want where you've done everything right and not only win but survive. That would have easily been ten times better than red, green, blue, ect.
@@jh9794 exactly like I absolutely love the Mass Effect series it's basically a Star Wars but in our own Galaxy it even has their own version of the force, just no lightsabers. The gameplay and everything I've absolutely loved especially the first one I love the hardcore RPG. And we've been told that our choices are going to matter they're going to make a difference. And they really don't. sure they make a couple differences like you said the DLC adds a couple bosses or something, but the game still in sasane which is slightly different dialogue. It doesn't matter if you 100% every game or if you do the bare minimum. It honestly just made the series feel pointless to me I've only play through Mass Effect 3 one time. I played the first one probably dozens times and the second one about as many.
And I'm not asking for a different ending for every result, but it would be awesome if there were at least a few differences like if you do the bare minimum pretty much everyone dies and you basically fail. You didn't do enough. While 100 percenting all three games do things the right way and you can get the happy ending. They're just basically be like you can play through the games how you want do the things you want and how you like and you can end the game how you want it to be. I think that's pretty much what everyone was expecting.
I understand they were pressed for time but one they should have told EA to go f*** themselves to gain needs more time. And 2 with this legendary edition that's what they actually should be doing given us the game that we deserved

This should be added to the Legendary Edition. Our choices should affect who lives and dies but their should only be two endings, this ending or if the player doesn't do enough the Reapers win.

AHEM mod does exactly that. It doesn't play out quite like this mod does though.
Also, you can play through Citadel after that ending mod with a separate mod to make it an epilogue.

Everything was perfect, honestly hearing the ending song sung from Malukah was just the right way to end the series for the fans. Against all odds we have broken a cycle of war and death that has lasted millions of years. The ending showing Shepard finally being able to rest, for their story to end and their life begin.
EDIT: Oh and to add some spice to this, "ad astra per aspera" means: through hardships to the stars. If that isn't the perfect quote to end a space opera on I don't know what is.

This is Canon for me and how the Trilogy should have ended. Add Citadel Epilogue Mod to it (which basically makes it so that after beating the reapers, Shepard throws a huge party) and it's the ideal ending.
Until HEM and CEM come out for Legendary Edition, I refuse to play Priority: Earth on any of my playthroughs.

Bioware needs to just make a game called mass effect where it combines all 3 games into one big remaster. no plot changes or anything like that just a good remaster that combines all games into one big game.

What are you talking about, Bioware is making a new game called Anthem right now. It will probably suck dick, but they're still about. Their Montreal studio got closed down, but that was the same studio that farted out that SJW abomination Andromeda, whereas the Edmonton branch developed OG Mass Effect. There is talk of a new ME game on the cards, but probably some years away.
The thing is nobody cares anynore. Everything left from Bioware is studio name. Thanks to EA.

The music at the end when the crucible was activated should have stayed the same. Even with the more uplifting ending, that music made it seem more like a saturday morning cartoon.

You know what? I'm a tough men in reality, a warrior-spirit / rebel...
But the original, to the final scene (w/ Tali r.) was so heart-breaking back then... that triggered by ME3 story *I'd lied in my bed CRYING for 2 WEEKS* because of the tearing me apart *existential thoughts about: deeply lost humanity, fate, love, sacrifices and duties, loss and that "true" ideal heroism we all can imagine*
This single game had opened my eyes back then. I had evolved my worldview and changed myself entirely.
It's sounds bit ridiculous and funny that it was the video game what triggered all this, but in the end - it's because of the crazy times we live without being adapted to it yet. This story was so deep that if you were empathic enough it could became the first step of becomming actually "awoken" off all the lies we're fed our whole lives.
To finally understand that the world isn't pink, yet the moments are beautiful and we need to be heroic when our time comes.
We can only believe in eternal circle of life.

I remember the original version of this so the extended one is interesting. I like the added work, though I think the music is weak. An End Once And For All is still great, especially the more uplifting version. But aside from the soundtrack changes in the escape sequence, great work.

Thank you so much for making this happen! You are a true miracle worker for putting all of these together!!!! This is a long needed closure!!! Although if I can be pardoned for being picky and blunt, I think the lines by that captain still needs some work. Just a suggestion, something like: "This is captain XXX of VSS XXX, go get the commander, I'll cover you!" then Joker replies, and then the captain says: "Good luck, and tell Shepard that we are even now!" something like this, and in the end when they get Shepard, the line could be something like: "Normandy, let's bring our commander home!"
But then again, everyone's a critic, this is just my personal opinion and I can never make anything like this. I want to thank you again for all the efforts you put into this, a big thank you!!

I was wondering what ending he would use, you notice at several points it looks like he is going to pick the renegade answer, but goes paragon instead. Yet the ending he choose was the, technical, Renegade ending. I would have loved to see how a modder could turn the 3rd option, synthesis I think, and turn that into a 'Shepard lives' ending...but I am more than happy with this. Hacket is right...it can all be rebuilt.

No one gets left behind! Not on my watch! I haven't played the Mass Effect Trilogy in years, but I still remember what I did in my savegames. ME 1: sacrificed Kaidan for Ashley, Kirrahe lives and so does Urdnot Wrex. ME 2: Urdnot Wrex is the Leader of the Krogans, had Tali romanced and the whole crew survived (all loyal). ME 3: all lived except for the ones who had to die because of the plot. The Genophage has been cured, the Geth and Quarians live together in peace. The rest survived and added to the Force as assets. Took the Synthesis Ending.
There's something so..... SPECTACULARLY inspiring about seeing Turians, Krogan, Quarian, Asarian, Geth, and Humans fighting together on the frontlines. All because of one man (or woman) who.... forgive me for referencing another game for comparison but Fallout 4's Paladin Danse's quote "Chose to take a leap of faith and make a difference" "A lone soldier who changed the galaxy (world in his case) and make it so that people would no longer have to live in fear, but instead live in peace"
God.... if we were to face off against the Reapers today... we'd lose the planet inside an hour, all because there are idiots on this planet who I have no doubt in my mind that even if these idiots saw the destruction and mayhem of our very civilization that the Reapers could evoke, would still call them "misunderstood" or something like that. And attempt to defeat the reapers by running in to give them a hug or using non lethal force....
Shepard being a fictional character, granted is still what every human should strive to be. Always willing to lend a hand to their peers, inspiring hope in others and overall willing to lay down their lives in order to protect the innocent. Even the idiots I mentioned.

@@thetankman8 red,blue, and green space stuff. Hardly a final battle, very little difference based on how the orher 2 games had been played. It was shallow, wide as the ocean bur deep as a puddle
The added action scenes were a bit forced and dragged things out too much IMHO, but the spirit of this ending is much more satisfying from a player perspective. However, from a narrative perspective, it feels a bit weaker as Shephard's story concludes without the final sacrifice or the difficult choice which will irrevocably destroy/alter everything for which you've fought. That said I do like the simplicity of the only option being "Destroy the Reapers and only the Reapers", and it COULD have worked in the actual game if Shepard's survival were dependent on successfully negotiating things between the Krogan/Turians and the Quarians/Geth and amassing as much strength for the final battle as possible. Possible but difficult to achieve.
Yeah, that should be an option if you had enough war assets and brokered the peace. Like, you basically showed that organics and synthetics are working in harmony in this cycle, and disproved the starchilds assertion that there can never be peace. Just saw the ME4 teaser. I hope they will fix the ending in the legendary edition. Always hated it to kill Edi and the Geth through the destroy ending while the other two ends kill Shepard and are mostly the same. fingers crossed.

That's really all I wanted, hopefully those Mass Effect Legendary Edition designers are talking notes. If they're smart they take to heart what's already working. Let us keep Shepherd!
I honesty think they might tie on a better ending to 3 with mass effect 4 being announced and maybe showing Shepard getting saved from all the rubble and reuniting with the crew or that will be shown in the beginning of the new game.
I think it's sad when the fans give more of a damn than the people that made the game

Laminate Slinky pretty good. Still on Taris trying to find the prototype engine for the swoop race. First play through. I’m enjoying it just as much as I am with mass effect.
If you ask me, the extended cut Destroy option was fine and you got that final breath scene in there to confirm Shep's alive. What I'd have liked even more would be a post credits scene like the grandpa / grandson, but instead with FemShep, Liara and lots of blue children.
It wasn't fine for me, as I worked too fucking hard to get the Quarians and Geth to get along AND keep Tali alive for the fucking Reapers to force me in to total synthetic genocide.
I think maybe they should've had a separate "Destroy Reapers" type decision, where you just kill them. Vent Kid wants you to kill the synthetics via the standard Destroy ending, but you don't have to. I fucking HATED having to work within their rules.
Edit: I'm a bit spicy about it cause my first playthrough was very recent, not trying to be hostile toward you at all.
@@willyeeton4390 That's alright, dude. I understand Mass Effect makes us passionate. I was really sorry for having to sacrifice Legion who was disseminated among the Geth and have to sacrifice EDI, after I spent two games helping her towards self-actualization. But I also think that tying up all threads with a neat little bow at the end of the story based on a single decision isn't good storytelling. That's the nature of life, sometimes. There are no good decisions. You just make the best with what you're given.
@@willyeeton4390 There shpuld have been a way to get EDI to patch in to the citadel computer and see what she could do, based on getting the maximum war assets and brokering peace between Geth and Quarians. That would have been greatm

A synthesis between Archies "Final Cut", Lorerunner's Shepard vs Harbinger battle, this, and the Extended cut makes the perfect ending.
Let's hope this is ported to Xbox, and Bioware takes notice.

I mean ig they REALLY wanted to actually make up for how bad a failure andromeda was theyd fix the tali reveal and implement some of these happy ending mods into the final game. Theyd earn so much more goodwill and plenty of money just for finally letting players have the resolution we actually want.

That being said I’ve recently been playing through with mods and they do breathe new life into the games. Haven’t tried this one yet though. There’s literally thousands on sites like nexus mods maybe you might find what you’re looking for there

I refused to play ME3 for several years, played in when I became aware of MEHEM. Saved me lots of time.. Not perfect but saves the game for me.

True ending for me, sure the 4 other original ones is dramatic, but i didnt put 3 weeks into playing through ms1-ms3 just to have a death ending with the main character and not even a fucking offspring left behind, i refuse to accept the endings they made so thank you for making this!
