The color played a part in it I stopped taking care of my hair properly after I had my daughter... this was the result 😩 some people can handle the color and others aren't so fortunate. Either the upkeep to colored treated hair can be a bit more work than natural hair.
I just cut my hair a week ago the same length ! I went from bsl to sl. I’m sooo sad but it was my fault ..long story lol. But let’s just embrace the length we have now it’ll be back long agian before we know it 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️

@@briannaroberson2024 because my ends were split so bad to the point where it just started to break off and i didn't notice until it was too late. i mean, i knew that my hair was shedding a lot when i combed it (using a wide tooth comb) and i knew my ends were split but i didn't know how bad it was. it's mostly around my crown area (the root breakage) which is my dryer, more coarse area anyway. it's my fault for not getting my trims like i should and i might not be using the right products for my hair as well...i honestly cant tell you specifically how because i really dont know, im just guessing. i just know it happened. btw, i did go get a hair cut and she told me that it is split all up in through there so i have to keep going back until i get it all fixed. i think im just going to shave it soon tho. just start all over.

I use a wide tooth comb myself that keeps snagging my ends every time I detangle no matter how much product or water I use. I don't no if thats normal. I'm just going to go back to finger detangling until I figure it out. Again thanks for sharing..
Brianna Roberson hey, I've had breakage at my roots too. It came from tight styles(braids) and poor detangling. I use the Felicia leatherwood brush because it's a bit more thorough then the wide tooth comb. We have to make sure we remove all the shed hair or it'll lead to friction, split ends, breakage, etc. Those shed hair snag on to other strands and split ends that cause more problems. I always recommend gently detangling with a brush with a few more "teeth" than a wide tooth for these reasons.
Lightening is always high maintenance. I use Paul Mitchell Forever Blonde Dramatic Repair. I also have the b3 Deep Condition3r set. At night, I use the Brazilian Blowout Dry Oil and their Shine and Shield Spray Shine to wrap my hair.
The trick is to get rid of all those heat irons, it's the same as going on a diet, don't bring the bad foods in your house. I did it now my hair is past my bra line, I was shocked cause it happened,. Woke up and it had grown to now 16inch. No heat in 5 yrs.

One of her closest friends is from there and said my mom and I look exactly like their native people. It’s interesting and I can see why the OP thought that.
