- EXCLUSIVE: The Real Story Behind 'Street-Singer Lani'
It was such an unforgettable experience for the Asia's Nightingale Lani Misalucha, who is used to sing in prestigious stages here and abroad, but this time it's a different one -- on one of the busy streets in Manila.
Aside from the original plan to make a music video for her single 'Saan Darating Ang Umaga', which is included in her latest album under Star Records "The Nightingale Returns", it turned out to be a social experiment to find out how does it look like when people see Misalucha singing on the street and vice-versa.
However, since she enjoyed the experience, Misalucha who's also tagged as Las Vegas' 'Siren of the Strip' performed two more songs such as her renditions of 'Anak' and 'Starting Over Again'.
For a short period of time, Misalucha seemed like a substitute for Mang Ben and Aling Flor, the original street-singers on that certain location.
And since the people were really entertained by her wonderful voice, she took advantage of her talent to collect donations for the Mang Ben and Aling Flor to somehow help them. - Hudba

You can really feel the warmth and emotion in Lani's voice. I can imagine how more intense it is to just hear it and not see her. That's why Mang Ben and Ate Flor can't help but be so touched by it. Lani is so down to earth. She really is the best!

I think I have seen them somewhere near Manila City Hall. This is so inspiring. Inspiring because it made me realize that there is no big or small when people work just to feed themselves. Kahanga-hanga at marangal po ang ginagawa nila.

Ms. Lani Misalucha's precious moments with these blind couple who earn their living by singing in this little corner of their world will forever be etched in the hearts of her fans. Although I had seen her before in another video singing Saan Darating Ang Umaga, which she sang also in this place, it's only now that I was able to dig deep into this. Hats off to her - a famous and respected singer at that - for trying her hands to sing in this humble setting. Respect also for this blind couple who fight their daily battles with life fair and square. God bless them all.

first time ko makita si Ms. Lani Misalucha when i was in highschool field trip namin...sa FESTIVAL MALL...sa wax museum ...wayback 1999...nagkataon na nag mall tour si MS.LANI that day...konti pa lang ang mga tao dahil parang bagong tau (build) pa lang ang FESTIVAL MALL...Lani's voice is superb...mapapanganga ka na lang sa ganda ng boses...
