And the keyboardist does Leon Russell proud!
Oh man she has the heart and soul the likes of the great Janis Joplin. Such an awesome voice!

A favorite Joe Cocker tune, now a fave Susan Tedeschi tune!
Joe Cocker would be proud!
A pity he stopped singing it in later years.
I had the pleasure of seeing this show in person. A cold, windy, rainy evening in Portland, but the fire on stage made for a toasty warm evening. Looking forward to hearing new material from "I am the moon" this summer!
❤ awesome version of this song ❤ first time I saw this was Crossroads Guitar Festival you nailed it then and now❤
I love this Joe/Leon song!
You did them proud!
Been a fan of TTB for years but the more I hear and watch the more I am reminded of Delaney and Bonney , when Eric Clapton was tbere, with Jim Gordon.....same extraordinary quality and energy live...
Amen! But I’m glad these folks are keeping Joe’s legacy alive!

Such a great show! Thanks for this. Please tell me you're going to post more! Especially Anyday.
Just posted Joyful Noise Alan!
Good version. But the collection of musicians and choir member who were involved in the "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" tour was unique and has never been matched.
This rendition of "Space Captain" is compared to Joe Cocker¨s version (together with Leon Russell) while interesting is not up to it.
The "Mad Dogs and Englishmen", video is the best if not one of the best recordings of concerts post Woodstock.
Of course, each person has his/her own preferences. But I have never heard a better version (up to 2023) than Joe Cocker¨s of this and other pieces on the same.
Not sure I would be taking credit for that recording, though
"crushes" Lol.
I don't know about crushing Joe Cocker's version! Great she recognised Joe's version was something special - and has sung the song often - and this is not her best effort on CZcams - but its enjoyable. Joe of course has no peer. The keyboard solo don't fit the vibe of the song.
Joe Cocker version every time for me sorry.
