did you tune your bass slightly up (to around A=452hz) because to me it sounds like the original track is slightly sharp and what you are playing sounds for the most part in tune?
Mac's instruments are always out of tune one way or another 😅 To be honest when i recorded i didnt check the tuning , i just played and it sounded good
I'm about to attempt this, and this is my first day with a bass guitar. I'll edit this and show my progress with it.

Hi, could you make a video about how to read the tabs? Please. I’m beginner.
bottom line is thickest string top is thinest. the numbers are how much frets down do you play so first fret is the string closest to the top. and 20th fret would be the bottom one.

Could you tell the configuration for the bass and amp?
I don't use the amp to record , I use a focusrite. The bass is tone and bridge pickup on 0 and neck pickup full. Simple as that

It's not stupid at all! It means "ghost note" , its basically plucking the string where the X his but with the left hand muting the string so you get a percussive sound :)
