This song always makes me want to cry because this was our stand tunes for marching band and just to think the seniors aren’t going to be here next year makes me really really upset
Today I got 16 band members together, between 1-3 out of each section to come with me to play this to ask my girlfriend to homecoming with Reese's buttercups and roses! She said yes!
im a sucker for pep band/marching band performances so this was already fantastic in my book, but this was also one of if not the favorite song of my dad who passed away two years ago and its the one i most strongly associate with him so its always a fun gamble to see if ill jam out or start crying while listening to this haha but amazing composition! its really fun and something i want to take to my directors in hopes that we can learn it for football games .)!
We did this for band in high school and at one point towards the end of the year before our band director arrived the lower brass and woodwind started playing their part then slowly everyone just joined in.
My instructor sent us her drop box and we found all the parade music that was supposed to be a surprise including this and I’m not allowed to tell anyone

@@Cooliocubing thank you for bringing me back, this just brought me so many memories !!!!❤️
cutest marching arrangement ever imo
I love how the trombone section actually gets melody for once.
Kevin Lockwood I'm finally not useless
Señor Cantaloupe Trombones are never useless. We own that band! Without us, they’d sound awful😂
You're absolutely right. The trombones are best section
Same for tenor sax!! 😂
I'm a mellophone... You don't know the half of it
How could you dislike this amazing song?!
maybe they dont like the arrangement. idk, imo paul murtha isnt the best. he has nice jazz arrangements tho
This sounds too good. I like it better when it's played by a high school.
Particularly ours. By the way, now I know what it's like to be the only tpt 1 in the group and I envy it lmao
@@xaviersantana2367 same bro
I played this in high school. Great arrangement
100% can confirm being in high school band right now.
@@xaviersantana2367 I'm one of like 7 tpts

Pansy The Human nice
This is the most iconic pep band song ever. Im so sad that the seniors didn’t get to play this one last time🥺
As a highs school band student I can confirm all of us love this song
It is so fun!
The alto saxophone part at 0:39 is much more fun than I’d like to admit
And also respect to all the flutes, 0:47 is absolutely incredible
This brings me back to my first year of marching band this was the first song I learned I actually feared up listening to this :)
I love this song played in band once the best
I had this specific arrangement for our school concert band. I needed something to play along with. Glad I found this!
My high school band marched this for homecoming both my freshman and senior year i love nostalgia
