    • @voyageadventurevans
      @voyageadventurevans  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks you. The transverse bed is approx 6ft2 into the pods. I would say if you are 6ft then it is manageable. Much taller and you may struggle as you dont really have much diagonal space either.

    Very nice conversion. What seats did you use?

    • @voyageadventurevans
      @voyageadventurevans  Před 10 měsíci

      The front standard factory seats, the rear seat is a front double out of a MAN.

  • @tanyaroyredcar
    @tanyaroyredcar Před 2 lety

    Thanks for sharing this. This is a stunning build. I noted your comments regarding the swivel seats - advising the client to order this with the vehicle rather than relying on a retro fit of a non-standard product. Obviously you're still able to achieve front swivel seats but this is just your suggestion and the alternatives might not be as per the video. This van really is a head turner and looks super stealth even, so forgive me, can I ask? How are you able to achieve a motorhome reclassification with the DVLA ? Thanks in advance, Roy and Tanya, North Yorkshire.

    • @voyageadventurevans
      @voyageadventurevans  Před 2 lety +1

      The van has everything required by the DVLA but this video was taken without the decals. Although quite stealthy, it does have windows, cooker, bed etc etc, and although it doesn't have an awning, it had a fixed awning rail. This was pretty invisible, so we actually fitted a canopy to it to demonstrate it was there. The DVLA specify an 'awning bar' , which I assume means an awning rail?

      @@voyageadventurevans Thank you for a very speedy reply, it's appreciated. We've seen your website of course and we're interested too in your responses via social media. This is potentially a huge investment for us and not without risk if we were to end up with a van with windows classification, if we looked to trade in the future. Are we going to have to "invest" in decals to achieve reclassification and to retrospectively remove them in order to achieve the effect that we wish.. i.e. semi stealth. Thanks in advance again, R&T

    Great work! Are the rear windows 500x300?

  • @wapaic
    @wapaic Před 3 lety

    Lovely work. Why did you go with the Truma diesel when the gas one seems to do the same job for a lot less cash. Seems to be the same size too? Any chance you're selling the shower trays?

    • @voyageadventurevans
      @voyageadventurevans  Před 3 lety +1

      We tend to use the diesel as it gives you a bit more off grid capability. But there is now a 30lt gas tank option from Autogas 2000 which does extend the fill period with LPG. Another benefit of diesel is that you can keep it running whilst travelling. But it is a more expensive option. There does seem to be a growing interest in a gasless van also, using a diesel hob and a microwave via inverter?
      Unfortunately, we have no plans to offer the shower tray beyond our full conversions.

    • @wapaic
      @wapaic Před 3 lety

      @@voyageadventurevans Fair point, the tank could be a pain to fill in certain regions. Is it possible to source the shower tray from you direct?

    DO you have the 2021/22 SPRINTER 4X4 camper or you oNLY deal with VW crafter /MAN TGE?
    and between the sprinter and the crafter which one would you recommend for someone who is just starting out overland?

    • @voyageadventurevans
      @voyageadventurevans  Před 2 lety

      Being honest, I dont have any real experience with the sprinter. We have converted one for a customer , and I believe they have a more capable 4x4 system, but the situation at the moment is that we are primarily sticking with crafter / MAN Tge and we are booked into 2023 (assuming all customers vans arrive😒)

    • @BornventureGamba

    • @voyageadventurevans
      @voyageadventurevans  Před 2 lety

      @@BornventureGamba unfortunately we are booked up until early 2023. For the next few months we are just taking expressions of interest as it's not really practical to enter into long discussions about vans that we can't order and prices that are ever increasing.

      There are a lot of variables that affect the cost, but if you get a decent spec new 4x4 and then want it like this inside and out. Expect the total cost to be upwards of £90000.
