That long-nose one that led the pack is an old early 1940s Studebaker. The US packed up an entire truck factory and sent it to the USSR as part of Lend Lease. The truck was the equivalent of the GM deuce and a half and it made Soviet towed artillery mobile like never before--no more horses!

I love how the large Red truck with the eyeballs on the windscreen (I think It is a LIAZ, soviet era firetruck) still had some fire hose coiled on the sides of the rig as tribute to its former life.

I was under the impression that this was on a set track and timed for points. i see it differently now.
Yeah, this is a great example of how a real Rock Crawling rig using it's low weight value, agility and V6/V8 Diesel Torque (Measurement of WORK Mr. Pirate) to negotiate a swamp seminole mud bog. I notice how those rigs stayed on top of the swamp loam and mud, excellent strategy. I enjoy technical trails and water crossings over most other terrains. Snow is tricky. Question Uploader: Do these rigs utilize an electric fan for the deep water crossings? I didn't witness anyone tying their belt through the fan blades to hold it still as they tend to catastrophically detonate themselves along with the nearby vulnerable radiator. Ahhh...anyone know from experience lol?
Murray None-ya not sure about these but all Landcruisers ive had have a fan thats on a clutch to prevent what you mentioned. Maybe these are similar

the US? really?? there are plenty of bogs in the US where there are competitions. seems like you should try those trucks here. youd get left behind in those mud races. and by the way, its a race, not a mud truck train like you have there, waiting in line patiently. we have a different style of racing here. we have offroad obstacle races just not alot in heavy mud. we have technical driving+power dominated. those trucks are moving slow cause theyre low powered. im bettin you have HP limitations or some other major restriction on your trucks otherwise youd be done in a few minutes on those courses. by the way, what you have there is what we have called 'hill & hole (youtube that shit). on top of that you have you what seem to be 2 ton trucks mixed in with the 1 tons. and the 'natural terrain'? are you out of your mind?? who created, commercialized & popularized the off road world? you surely dont think the comparison of Estonias off-road world has the breadth & depth the US has, do you? do research before ya comment on what you dont know.
