That black parts are the buffers or bumpers even though sodor is a part of the Uk
will The locomotives have drivers as a steam engine you need a driver and a fireman but for a diesel just a driver right Chugayt?
also could you remove the lamp and put it on those lamp irons, lamp iron are those cylinder things next to the lamp
fun fact, all engines of the TTTE are based off real Locomotives, but Percy, well lets go back to Thomas the tank engine & friends back to the railway series Wilbert hired Dalby but Wilbert did not like Dalby's uh drawings a story of Percy the green engine, Percy isn't based off any real engine, but there is some real life basis for Percy some you may wanna look him up since I'm too lazy.

also the trians in TTTE do not need to eat mainly because they don't have a stomach or no neck just a face on a vehicle.
they do feel pain when their damaged hurt etc.
if they run out of fuel that means they cant move they need crews Steam engine/ driver fireman Fuel/ water coal d=Diesel/ driver Fuel/ oil or fuel.

Maybe you could make Edward the old engine or blue engine, and two henrys one henry 1 henry used to be a failed of a hybrid steam engine but sir hat bought welsh coal because the coal their using is not rights for henrys firebox until henry was rebuilt due to an accident during winter where he had to pull a non stop fish train from sodor to Manchester, he was sent to crewe then rebuilt into a Stainer black 5 a 4-6-0 Tender loco Henry & Edward are mixed Henry is mainly the heavy freight but sometimes he could be seen pulling passengers or the express Edward was one of the first engines on sodor he is a 4-4-0 Furness railway K2 class or large seagull he was loaned to sodor to help build the railway he is a wise but kind engine but he can pull small trains ether goods or passengers.
1:18 i really like the detail here. Most modelers wont even bother making the "drawer" open. Good job
Those are not drawers well kind of those are a place where you put sand in so the train gets enough traction
also if you're wondering the "black parts" of the engines are called Buffers.

I have a idea for cursed james he is pulling some coal cars and there is a shadow that is next to james james stoppes and sees its a second james and the second james explodes and james runs away in fear

the black parts of the trains you thought were hands are actualy buffers to stop slow trains from derailing off a buffer/stop also they are used for if when no buffers the worker cant couple the train
