Yes, but I've often heard the claim that the French are generally more arrogant, so I felt I had to mention it.
Even then I don't think it's justified, though. The French had lost the last game against us, so I'm sure everyone knew that a defeat could happen again, and the players didn't say anything arrogant before the game - quite the opposite, actually.

it's really not arrogance it's rather that the germans were playing really well while we were abysmal hence why it ended up looking that bad. I think Deschamps is really at the end of a cycle here and should've quit after the world cup but since they managed to get to the final he decided to try again... But his tactics, player choices and how unmotivated the players look give reasons to say now's the time to bring Zidane in. Anyways hope you guys can carry this momentum and have a good euro at home. Because low ranked teams do not want to loose. And they know that even great team can loose against Germany when they want to participate in the match (like England and Argentina in 2010 and Portugal and Brazil in 2014). That is why such teams prefer to put the bus in front of their goal. It is very hard to get through. So in summer it will be harder for Germany. Because neither Scotland, nor Hungary nor Switzerland will try to play. They all will act defensiv. And so it will be difficult again. Only ij the k.o. phase if Germany succeeds to lead it will be possible to achieve a high win. Because then the other team has to operate offensiv.

Toni Kroos is in my opinion still the best central midfielder in the world. No one since Xavi or Xabi Alonso can read and lead and structure a game like Kroos. Gündogan was one of the central midfield players in Man Citys giant team last season and is now the midfield leader in Barcelona. Wirtz and Musiala are two unbelievable players. Both are pure worldclass players! They are both just 20 but played both already more then 100 Bundesliga games. Germany can even "afford" to move a worldclass midfielder like Kimmich from the midfield into the right defense position. The German midfield is a pure MONSTER!!!! The problem of Germany were the bad coaches. Löw was always an idiot. No surprise that he didnt found a new job yet. Flick was a desaster. And these permanent silly experiments of Nagelsmann (Havertz on left defense position, 3 or 5 defender tactics) were simply stupid. I am quite sure that Völler put pressure onto Nagelsmann to stop these stupid experiments!! Now he put the first time the best formation onto the pitch and you see immediately how strong Germany is. The more I watch this show, the more I realize quite a few of these pundits have a very hard time putting aside their biases and egos and just admitting they were wrong about a player, coach, or team. Also keep in mind that Samba, Kounde, Pavard, Lucas Hernandez, Zaire-Emery, Dembele and Thuram will not start for France. It will be Maignan, Clauss, Konate, Theo Hernandez, Griezmann, Coman and Giroud. Nkunku and Coman are expected to resume playing after injuries in the next 2 weeks. What the subs have basically done is make sure that they will not take the place of the regulars... just very poor. It's a friendly. France are always atrocious in friendlies unless it's right before a major tournament. Not sure why we even play them. The players are mostly trying to get through a match without getting injured UNLESS they're fighting for a spot on the team. I think France has more losses than wins in friendlies in March and June over the past 15 years. I know that's true for June 100% but I need to check for March. I can't remember us winning one unless it's Gibraltar or someone like that lol.

That was exactly what I was saying yesterday, France seems terribly careless in friendly games or games that are not vital for titles, such as those against Tunisia in the world cup, against Greece in the Euro qualifiers and in these two friendlies against Germany. I still consider France to be the Euro favorites and I agree with Craig that this was a mishap, having said all that I still think Naggelsman and Germany were fantastic.

In fact this is Bellinghams first season in which he has better numbers than Musiala but people act like he is miles clear of Musiala. Musiala was way better the two years before this season and Musiala is still a way more special player than Bellingham will ever be. Bellingham has fantastic work rates and a good mentality when it comes to winning, but Musialas abilities are out of this world and Bellingham will never have these abilities. France’s depth has been a bit overrated in a sense but to be fair they’ve always been built specifically for a few superstars. Their system is their Mbappé’s and Griezmann’s, which also makes the loss of Pogba a huge factor that I feel like people aren’t talking about enough since Pogba was such a difference maker and I don’t see many midfielders anywhere in the world who are capable of replacing his impact, including in France. So they’re definitely a bit weaker now. When Griezmann retires I’m not sure who fills his hole for France, maybe Rayan Cherki has some potential but that’s not too reliable. But at least they’ll still have Mbappé.
