I just realized that when the gun salute happens, Benson initially pulls out a snub-nose revolver in response, but when he starts firing at the crowd, he has a beretta. Initially I thought it was an intentional goof, but I only now realize that he tosses his snub-nose to the drill instructor (0:44), and then he just pulls the beretta out from nowhere (0:50).
Little details like that just make the scene more funny and why 90s parody movies will always be superior.

Watching this movie before I saw The Godfather, every time I see the serious and intense scene in which Michael says to Carlo "Barzini is dead. So is Phillip Tattaglia. Moe Greene. Stracci. Cuneo." I always laugh because I'm reminded of this using almost the same quote as a non-sequitur.
