- Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today. On 8 July 2024, we will start today's video with snow and heavy rainfall in Sutherland, South Africa today. The streets were full of snow and wet roads after the snow melted around Middelpos. Snow also fell in Calvinia and was still visible on the mountaintops such as the Hantam Mountains. Then, there were strong winds and rough seas off the coast of Maitland and Seaview. We make a stop for lunch at the Post Box Café in Irene. Then, a big herd of buffalo drinking water in the Kruger National Park. Attend the Berg River Marathon from the Riviera Hotel in Velddrif. Then, we will make a stop at Cheerio Café in Magoebaskloof, and we will show you more videos from around South Africa.

We want to show our viewers as many places as we can across the country worth visiting. South Africa is a large country, and only some locals know where all these places are, we therefore add a map that we created to show where the video was captured more or less. We also try and provide some history on many of the towns, museums and events on that day in South Africa. We take pride in bringing original and captivating videos that will leave you in awe.
Also in this video, the Haute Cabriére Restaurant in Franschhoek, drive down the main road of Irene, and landing on runway 21L at OR Tambo International Airport at Kemptonpark and we end the video today with a flight out of Cape Town International Airport in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.

True tonardo in winter very strange in KZN we had storm with lightning and hail and Tonardo two days ago Friday it was very hot then on Sunday we had a very hot wind at night

Only when big cold fronts hit the country during the winter, mainly in the high-lying areas and mountains.

Not a protected tree so quite legal to remove.
If it's on private property people are free to remove it if it gets to big. We also had to remove ours cos it got to big. In south Africa trees grow really fast, even aloe trees can grow up to 18-20 meters
Maybe it was not healthy. These trees, lately, have been attacked by a desease.
It is an alien tree on private property.
