However, the wound is from a low caliber gun - it's either a bug, or perhaps the murderer shot, then bludgeoned the victim with the butt of the gun. I have an idea of where the gun could've been - for murder weapons specifically, sometimes searching the suspect a second time actually reveals the gun
they pay him to solve murder cases, not read autopsy reports

The entry wound's from a gun but cause of death is from a bludgeon...That mismatch between entry wound and cause of death looks like a simple early access bug to me, I've never seen anything similar in my 50 hours in-game. Gotta say though, I would've snatched that sword in a heartbeat. My crime-solving sword is the single most useful tool in my entire kit! 1-hits civilians and 2-hits enforcers!
I've actually had this happen to me recently. Victim was shot with a low caliber weapon, but cause of death was a rifle... Didn't help that the Enforcer that lived a floor down got involved and started shooting someone at the scene of the crime. Perp proceeded to phase through the floor as soon as the security door was raised. Left no evidence. Having a fun time waiting for them to kill again so I have something other then they have long brown hair.
Also big fan of the sword. Found it while doing a side job along with some body armor. I've basically become an inquisitor now.
Being a detective is hard.. and serving justice is refreshing.

This video made me realize how bad I want negative modifiers in this game like smoker, alcoholic, and Kola addict that force you to use their associated consumable.
You could get really dark and make them addicted to pain killers, or allow the syringes to be combined with the various drugs in the game.
"Look to your left right now. That person could be your murderer." Looks left to see my dog staring at me. "... seen a happy dog, but that dog is plotting something." Dog's ears perk up nervously. 😂 Made my first ever short after that experience. Thanks for the hilarity!

Detective Tom drinks deep into his corpo-brand cider. "Another dead end" he mutters in-between his drinks, the bar scene bustling in the background. "At this rate, I'll never finish the case" he muses to himself. As he finishes his last drop, the door *barges* open. Tom looks to see a familiar silhouette. His eyes widen as the familiar figure strides over into the light. "I've always got your back" says the figure. Tom grins as he exclaims, "Then let's get to it *Ben* !"
"Hello, Commander." grumbles the unreasonably average looking man.
"Those times are over." Tom retorts, as he finishes his drink. "I'm just a detective now." With a heavy sigh, he adds yet another bottle cap to his ever growing collection.

I've been playing it again after watching these and I had a sad thing happen. Was going nicely, generated the largest one possible to make sure there were lots of businesses and people and... unfortunately even though they haven't been murdered 2-3 shops stopped working due to the employees never showing up. Broke in to check they still had living employees and they did, worse yet 2 of the places were the pawnbrokers which is how you sell stuff and honestly... stealing diamonds out of the killers safes... doesn't bother me. But yeah sadly my city is slowly breaking as employees aren't showing up as much. I get it's one dev but it's a nearly save halting bug when you need to buy out of vending machines 90% of the time cus shops don't open/have employees.

8:02 That whole section with Tom's inner monologue (and the music) becomes really dark if you image that he is a deranged psychopath who has the delusion that they're solving crime while, in reality, they're actually committing horrible crime. I don't know if Tom understands how this game works. I'm pretty sure it gives you checkmarks solely based on if you "completed" that task for the case, not if it is correct.
Based on that he could arrested the wrong person every single time.
