@moremoneymorefreedom6725 you use your past to learn in future events that are similar to past gradually getting better and better progressing the journey of your soul, when he says to forget the past he means to not identify your self or soul image with your past but keep your past memories to learn how you acted and how people reacted and to build upon that to build your charecter as a person.
