Yes but as such we can use both, only difference is Type 1 would be having some more troops in big layer.

Friend, Everything mentioned in this video is an example just to explain the logic behind layering and how those are making the difference, rest player needs to do on the basis of their march size etc. Acc to 2.1 M+ march size In Type 1 Layering its 1M, 800K, 100k troops and rest used in layers. Its lesser in Type 2 layering because we using more additional quantity in small layers if will proceed with Type 3 Layering then troop quantity will further reduce down from Big Layers.

Nobody listens to this. There is many different march presents using ratios better. A ground march and sometimes cav is the only time your going to send more of top tier troops. Range and cav will be a t14-13-12 with t12 highest amount of troops. They do this for better results and also for power exchange when attacking to always have a bigger hit for less. Now seige you'll always send either t13 big seige or t11 march small seige with layers. Also he showed you guys nothing about sending range march adding ground layers of t14 25k 13 35k 12 50k and you can also do this with seige on range hit as well. Anyways must be a new player still learning himself
