Absolutely amazing to see. 1896 my grandfather would have been age 7, he was a great deal older than my grandmother. He was a pall bearer in WW1, and head gardener for a big mansion near London, UK. I think that's where he met my grandmother because she was a ladies maid in the same mansion. That was back in the day of big houses having live in servants. When they got married they were one of the first working class people who were able to afford to buy their own house because they were high up in the servant pecking order, had good wages. When I was 7, my grandfather was a really old man, I can't remember much about him apart from his garden was always perfect, other than that he mostly sat hunched up in his chair. When my grandmother was really old and I was married with my first child, she told me that she'd seen such change in her lifetime, we had gone from a slow paced horses and carts to super fast men on the moon. Now I'm in my 60s and bouncing my own grandkids on my knees. :D

@@doug3819 Hi! Very interesting question; I think I'd have an easier time adjusting to life in previous eras because it's going back to basics, like when I go camping. Plus, I've had the advantage of a life time of movies depicting life in every era back to ancient Egypt and beyond. I'm not saying it would be easy or enjoyable compared to now: it would be much harder physically, especially if you went back as economically disadvantaged, and underprivileged. But I would just be dealing with simple, everything-by-hand technology. Learning to use a rock or a washboard to do laundry would be much quicker and less mind-boggling than for someone from the Middle Ages, or even the 19th century to learn how to operate a high efficiency front load washer and dryer.
My husband from Magadan, Russia, became nervous and light-headed, and had to leave the store when we were just shopping for ground coffee. I asked him what was wrong, and he put his hand on his forehead, and said, "Is too many!!" He was mentally overwhelmed by too many choices, and the culture shock of being in a large grocery store for the first time. In Magadan, almost nothing had a brand name, except cigarettes and vodka; and he had never seen a zucchini, or green pepper, or MOST of the produce we take for granted.
To me, being suddenly transported to a world of advanced technology would be so alien, and mind altering compared to suddenly having to do things the hard way, in a simpler form, with fewer choices, and closer to nature. Thanks for the question!

It was just another day in their lives, yet now they’re all gone, their whole world is gone forever. Only buildings remain. I wonder, if 100 people from those days could come into our time for a month, how many do you think would choose to go back to their own time? My guess is over 70%. I know I would go back with them.

That’s not really the point though is it?, the people in this video are average common people just going about their day.
Who’s to say in 100+ years from now someone might discover footage from the generation we’re living in?...after all, this generation will non-doubtably be the most documented due to the amount of technology available nowadays ie. cameras, internet, CCTV so the possibility is still there.

The people back then, eh? I bet they was tough as old boots! lol
Imagine having a weeks holiday there just to see what it was like to live in them times, the clean ish streets, no rubbish all over the place, no plastic bottles or cans anywhere, the clothing, it looked amazing from my point of view, they all seamed to take pride in what they was wearing!
All in either dresses or suits, no trainers, no shitty track suits bottoms, no feminized men with pony tails all looking gay, no second guessing if you are looking at a man or woman, no arguing about gender rights, no fighting about pollution, no wars, most if not all was wearing hats, everyone in proppa attire, the technology they had or the lack of back then, no mobile phones, no youtube, no wattsapp! you could go out all hours of the day and night and be safe. (maybe)
Sometimes I wonder if any of these people was me in a past lifetime, me walking past the camera or one of the kids playing about in the streets with other kids in about 1902, looking at the camera and thinking something like, what the hell is that? What are they doing? not knowing at the time that it would be me in 2022 looking at a recording of me playing in the streets in 1902? take care all

I don't exactly know when I'm going to die; but I have great health, my family has never had any disease that I could inherit (that I know of), rarely take the car and I'm a very cautious person by nature anyway. Unless some unfortunate thing happens that had nothing to do with my actions, I'm positive that I'll live far beyond my 40th birthday
