My baby seems small for 7 months. She has 2 teeth on the bottom, but by her being so little to me i feel id have anxiety giving her actual table food. I feel 7 months is a bit young. She has just been eating baby jars and cereals.

Same! My baby girl is 18 lbs at 7 months and she has one little tooth coming in on the bottom. I’m too afraid to start solids so she’s been getting pureed/ chunky fruits and veggies and rice cereal lol

My baby girl is 12 lbs at 7 months. She is still so small I just don’t feel comfortable giving her real food but I really wanna start introducing it slowly… at least stuff I know that are extremely soft. I am so scared to start real food.

My daughter also plays with pacifiers, she has never actually sucked on them.

This is exactly how my 7 month old eats too, I'm just starting her off on chunky whole solids like this and it makes me so nervous when she takes too large of bites and I have to force myself from fishing food from her mouth too!

I have a two month old baby girl and this gave me great ideas for meals when she’s a little older! I get a little nervous about planning everything for the future because it’s my firstborn 😂

Idk. Just being patient. Try different thing to find out what works for your baby and your schedule. I started solid, he hated it. I tried blw, he liked it but i didn't have time for blw. So i tried to make multiple things separately for every meal like baby pasta, broccoli, rice, chopped chicken, salmon, zuchini, pumkin... every thing cook soft and cut small, and he takes it but with lots of distraction like toys or tv. Without distractions, he wouldn't eat still.

Does anyone experience your baby choking ? when I give my 7 month old anything beside purée ( he’s got 2 teeth) he kinda bites in large not chew and swallow and choke or gag. That makes me not want to give more. One more thing he can’t pick up food like small pieces of foods to feed himself. Any advice? Thanks
Make sure the food is extra soft. That's how I started. So soft it almost squashes when baby picks it up. That way he can mash it with his gums really easy. If you do it that way you can do big chunks of food. Easier to pick up. He will probably drop a lot or smash it on his face but its practice. I started with one large chunk of steamed sweet potato.
My baby is 9 months now and I just started with putting food in his plate too, I was very nervous about it, I started with yogurt melties, he had trouble the first time but then he knew he had to chew and he has been doing great for the last month or so, he prefers food on his plate now than purées

My gosh I've been so afraid to give her more texture ugh she had one of those supposedly dissolving husk things and she got it in the back of her throat and it scared us both. I feel like a bad mommy ugh

Wow is hard to find videos that match our needs, I have a little one she’s 6 and only drinks 4oz and barely eats I’m a little scare to give her chucks of food :( like bread or fruit
now u can start solids to ur baby in the early u face problems but it ll b fine after a week....u starts to ur child like puree food etc....
i was also to much upset before starting solids to my child...but u starts now not wait for end of six month....
Where could I purchase the sippy cup you used ? My baby doesn’t really like using bottles or cups because of the spout and he’s breastfed ! I think it would work great ! Also do u nurse a lot still ?
I get them on target or amazon. They’re called 360 cups! They’re linked in the description :) No I do not nurse anymore. She’s 18 months now. I stopped nursing around 8 months

I saw when your little girl was 6 months she was eating purred food. Now in this video she is eating all that?? How did you transition from mush to egg??? My baby boy is 7 months and he is eating purred foods but I don’t know how to make the leep! Im scared! :( i tried giving him bananas like you need here about two weeks ago and my baby gaged and threw up tons!!
Every baby is ready at a different time! But she didn’t eat everything on her plate here, she just tried it and played with it and she did eat some of each food. Mostly this was just to introduce solids to her to get her to start learned how to chew & swallow them :)

Nothing wrong with the microwave long as you. Check the temp. I used to use bottle warmers but it takes too long when babies are fussy

I got 7 months old boy, i had home made cereals, i'll just mix them with bananas or papaya or apple,he love it.. He can eat as long as i feed him..apart from banana, i grind everything for him. Any way i wouldn't risk, I'm so scared.. And i wonder why did you toast those bread for 7months old?? Isn't it softer without toasting them.. For me, i even throw away the outer brown parts for him.. Btw, your baby is so cute and strong

Jessica V It was recommended by her doctor to introduce possible allergen foods earlier rather than later. Check with your doctor! But I think this is a common thing now :)
Thank you for the reply back.. have asked and they said to try anything just a little scare being his first time and my first time. A family member feed her daughter egg and they ended up in the ER baby girl now has to carry an EpiPen..
Well, i was thinking the same, we raise chickens so we got our own organic eggs but still refuse to give my 7 month baby

In greece eggs are the last thing you give, at 12 months old. After fish.

I would like to know how you sleep trained you baby?? I have a 7month old daughter and she can’t sleep on her own. And I know that it’s a little late to do that now but maybe you can help me. I’m struggling
It’s not late at all! I actually have a video on what I did. I used the Ferber method and would just go in every 5 minutes or so to pay her back or give her a paci quick and she starting falling asleep by herself in days 💗 But I’m no expert and every child is different!

Hi, my daughter is now 9months old and she sleeps on her own. To be honest it was very scary and hard cuz she cried a lot. But by the second week she started crying less (and with less I mean a min or two) until she didn’t. And it is sooo much easier now that she sleeps on her own. It was so exhausting. It was really worth trying it out.

I would like to know why u don't use real dishes? I am just curious because I saw this from other american CZcamsrs too. I am from germany and we use dishes for us as well for our children's.
Haha we do use real plates but we also use paper plates some as well for convenience. Not as many dishes to wash!

All babies can do it, its why they have a strong gag reflex, some just gag longer and takes them more time to sort it

Everything is nice but please try to avoid buying baby food bottles and warm it in microwave it is very dangerous , I know it is very hard to keep making everything at home , but this sweet baby girl deserve it all

Oh my gosh that's a lot of food on that spoon for her... She can't even fit it all in her mouth it's dripping out.
