I've done a very similar lining, but I find that if I turn the bag inside out, then slip the lining around it, right side out, it is much easier to sew into place.
great idea!
A pocket could be made in the lining
I personally think that you should box the bottom coners and fold neatly the top part lining to avoid the fray thread. Thank you for sharing. Have a good day for everyone out there. ..from Malaysia.
thanks for your comment Zieruc! Ciao from Italy
Lovely bag. Personally I would stitch corners on the lining on either side so the bottom would fit to the corners of the bag. Very easily done. I have made several tote bags for presents with T shirt yarn and they will last for years.
Thank you so much for this beautiful handbag pattern wow! I love it.
Beautiful bag and lining really love it
Exactly what I needed! Thanks
You did a great job on that bag, I love it. I wonder If I could make that 🎒, thanks so much
Looks beautiful
Thank you very much for sharing great tutorial !!!
Beautiful bag, good job, thank you for showing us how to line a crochet bag, I like it and will do it with my next bag, and I hope that I can do it well as you do Amen😃👌👍🙏😇
Thank you! I’m glad you liked this tutorial ☺️
You are wlc🤩😀
Wow love your channel. That was such a beautiful bag & lining. I look forward to learn more from you ❤️
Very pretty fabric
Beautiful
Thank you
Thanks for the tutorial! Could you iron the fold at the top before sewing into the bag so it's less cumbersome and you have a precise edge to sew evenly from?
That would probably be a really smart idea :D Yes.
If you box the lining it would fit better because your bag has some depth.
what do you mean by boxing the lining?
It’s a way you can create some shape and volume to a basic bag or lining. There are many tutorials online. It’s easy to do. I love your bag. Maybe you can show us how you made it!

@@BeatlesFanSonia Thank you for sharing the link! I've now learned how to make the boxes bottoms for my bags and not have the extra fabric bunch up in the corners!!!💐
That was awesome
thanks Linda!
😍😍😍😍
Perfect lining for your bag. 💘 it... Do you recommend your sewing machine. I just need simple tasks.
I do! Mine is the Singer Simple and it is just that, a simple heavy duty sewing machine that is good for pretty much everything. I paid around $100 and have been sewing all kinds of stuff for about 3 years now with it.
👍
Can you machine sew the lining with acrylic?
Hi can you please provide the link for the yarn
What is that sticky (white) interfacing material you used? And where did you buy it?
That is called iron on interfacing. I got it from a fabric store where I live in Italy. You can get it at craft stores or ask your local fabric store for it and they may sell it by the meter as did mine.
JoAnn's has it in the States. It's relatively inexpensive
Would of been great if you showed up how you measured the fabric....

Lindíssima bolsa 👏👏👏🧶
May i know how to measure the inner cloth for the bag? is it base on the bag size and leave for 1 inch on each corner? please advise. thank you.
Hi! I remember just stuffing the fabric in the bag flat on the bottom then I left an inch at the top or so for the fold over. It didn't measure it exactly.
Does anyone know what kind of that is?
Very nice can u upload crochet bag plss
Hi Rashmi! There is the bag tutorial and pattern as well if you go to my CZcams channel you will see it. The pattern is available at craftwithJess.com
What sewing machine are you using pls
The one I used for this tutorial was a Singer Simple - it cost me $99 because I got it on sale. I’ve found that basic sewing machines always get the job done, no need for anything fancy! If you really get into sewing then you’d want to get a machine that is heavy and has more stitch options to be able to work with thicker materials.
Do you have a pattern for that bag
yes ma'am.craftwithjess.com/collections/crochet-bag-patterns
Is the bag heavy?
slightly.
What kind of yard is that?
T-shirt yarn
I deleted my previous comment bc I realized you mentioned in the video that my question is answered in the pattern! But on etsy, it says the pattern is sold out :( Do you still sell it?
oh! Sorry about that :) In the description of the main video of the bag you can find the link to my website where it is sold as I am moving away from Etsy.
@@CraftwithJess oh, no worries! thanks so much for responding and letting me know! :D
@@kellycappuchino101sorry, I meant to say it was on the bag pattern video - the link. Here it is craftwithjess.com/collections/crochet-bag-patterns/products/crochet-bag-pattern-purse-tutorial-crochet-purse-pattern-personalized-gift-easy-crochet-pattern-crochet-purse-pattern-crochet-patterns
Just a suggestion. Pin it first before you sew it?
good idea!
Whhy not turn bag on wrong side, then stitch
Unfortunately eean
I would leave it in the bag. Pin it in place then turn it inside out to sew
Because it is not made form cotton or acrylic yarn. If it was it would make sense. But you can clearly tell it’s made from T-shirt yarn
Just not what we expected..
It is not your best shot I guess,
