How to Fix Can't Join Friends in GTA 5 Online on PS4 & PS5 (Easy Method!)

- Do you want to know how to FIX Can't Join friends in GTA 5 Online on the PS4 and PS5. If you are trying to join the games session and it says disabled or some other join game error. You can go to their PlayStation profile and go to now session and join their game through their profile. This is very similar on the PS4 and the PS5.

When I accept inv it doesn't even load the getting sesh details in bottom it acts like I didn't even get one

Yeah but when someone send you the invite, it saying view game instead of joining why’s that ?

I do receive invites, and cam also accept them. It just doesn't send me into their session after I accepted. It doesn't say something like ,,The session is full" or ,,The session is private". It just doesn't do anything like I've not just received and accepted an invite

@@Friendlyneighborhoodreaper Is this possibly a new bug with the game as I am also currently having this issue, I could join all my friends up until a few days ago, now I can’t join them I just accept the invitation and it doesn’t do anything, doesn’t even give me a option to join the session, it just doesn’t do anything like you.
@@xSinphony i too have just started experiencing this. People send me invites to join their gta game and I click join group and nothing at all happens. Only way to get in is if I go through the friends option in gta itself and join their session.

I can't join any jobs at all on PS4. Even is I join a quick job it says there are no jobs available which there is always a job to play. Please help

@@asavage8614 sorry just seeing this. yes you have to have the same game type. his was a ps5 version and mine was ps4. not allowing up to play tg bc theyre different versions

Yeah my game loads the getting session details but keeps coming up with player isn't in a session and session doesn't exist it also won't let me join public sessions with other players it keeps sending me to a session where I'm by myself

Ok sooo I know this is a whole year later but whenever I invite my friend to a game it said that he needs to install it, ..... But he does have it installed... Sooooo idk what's going on. Oh and it does the same thing for me even though I'm literally in a lobby as he sends the invite.

@@iamlarskvi I think I figured it out, and it's extremely bull. Turns out I didn't have the newest version this series x version. Xbox One players apparently can't play with series x players.

This has happened to me now, cant join my friend in a private session.
I can't get into a friends public session, it keeps telling me he has left the session and the session is no longer available, I'm on PS5 and he's on PS4 and yet i can join another friend who's also PS4. The only thing that has changed is they shut down the PS3/360 servers and now i can't get into any server bar a solo public session.
I have this exact problem as well, except I can't join anyone at all
@@nathanaelmalm5641 i had my mtu set to 800, which allows me to be in a solo public session, so i don't get harrassed my trolls and makes it semi private.
If you have friends you trust and you all set your mtu to 800 you can play together in realitive peace.
Normally mtu is 1500
@@Dreddpool82 yeah I realise d my mru was 800 too, I had switched to auto MTU but it switched back for some reason and I hadn't noticed

This won't work for an Invite only session, and the problem we are having is not being able to have the invites acceptable to those we sent them to.
I know I have to tell people all the time I can’t join there GTA invite only sessions all the time. I tell them to go to closed friend session, as I can join then.

Invites on this so called game doesn't work as it should. I invited my friend to whatever sessions and they said the invite doesn't work acts like they didn't accept it.
Man I bought the gta on sale and it said ps5 version but when you go to the app it say ps4 so watch what version you get if you on ps4 get the ps4 version

Turns out it was different versions of gta. You probably have the ps5 version.
So when you go to the store and search up gta, you will see three dots (...). You press that and different versions of the game will pop up. Then you get gta premium edition on the ps4. Sadly u are gonna have to pay for that. Like 30 bucks.

I finally figured it out guys if you cant join a session which is a invite only session you have to creat a invite only session then accept the invite. You’re welcome!!

@@craigcopeland3503 only way is if the make an closed friend session and join them by going to the ps4 quick menu and go to gta and then other sessions and join your friend from there

Are you still getting this? Whenever I invite a friend to any sessions like private/public for them it doesnt say anything at the bottom right corner. Trired everything they can to fix but nothing worked.

Still happening to me. Haven’t been able to join any friends game via game base, friends list, or in game friends list option. It only works SOMETIMES but that’s very rare these days.
