so basically TLDR: lethality aatrox is best in pro play, bruiser is more useful for soloQ chaos
man really just summarized a 41 minute video in a sentence lmfao
Not really tho
lethality could be way superior in certain games, just like bruiser could. Since we are not pro playing, it is smart to analyze the draft and then define what you’ll build
Lethality is good for play flex or clash
nayil plays aatrox like a bitch which is why he goes bruiser
I love the 3 2 1 go😂
this is actually pretty chill and clam
i like this brocast-style video i think you should do it more
If you like that, you should check his podcast with Spear Shot “Top voices”
Damn what a promo.
Chill and 🦪
I actually been having a lot of trouble deciding what i should build, now i think i get the point about the playstyle and momentum thank You NAAYIL love your content keep it up man
thanks for making this, hopefully that clears up some discussion
very nice guide. you represented your points well and had a nice flow, felt focused. Hope you make more when necessary
After building frosttrox/evenshroud and god knows what else that horrible time period and now with ghost and a W that people walk out of the long way, I think I can say that stoicism has been achieved. Your guides have been tested and the points made in a lot of your videos confirmed. Very well done, this seasons journey i wish you hit 1100k and above.
This actually give me so much more, the knowledge can be apply on other champs. ty for the guide!
Been waiting for this vid for a while. Great job, thanks homie
Great video this helped me a lot. Keep up the great work!
its a good guide video❤❤❤ thank you Naayil❤❤❤
Great video, I was having an identity crisis with Aatrox after reaching D2 on EUW and not knowing what to build and what runes to go, but I see the picture much more clearly now
thx for the info bro nice video
from medellin colombia!
Naayil has taught me how to perform better and these videos teach me alot
nice video it helped me much and maybe i can hit master again with this tips, thank you
Nice video, ty Naayil
Great video mister yil
im testing prophane hydra, sundered and shojin and its going well, i think this hydra works very well with aatrox
With this video, you gave me great ideas about the aspects of Bruiser Build and Lethality Build in general. Now, I'll try this logic for another champion. Thank you Naayil.
I ve been testing on master+ eclipse intro profane hydra into seryldas and right now is my fav build. You squishy but one shot anything. Also with this build if the team has anti heal, you still heal a ton
The thing about lethality is that the best defense in this season is one shotting your enemy. With how much damage other champions are doing now in this season, you simply can't outheal them in a fight once mages or adc's have a few items. I think the best way to decide whether or not to go lethality is not based on your rank, but based on you and your enemy's team comp. You should go lethality into squishy comps and you should go bruiser if your team needs a frontline.
The other day I was watching Bwipo and he wasn't talking about aatrox but he was talking about this similar topic on another champion, the thing is that he said that going tank/bruiser build is better when your team are behind so you let them get some time, but if your team are pretty feed you should go dmg build because the enemy team will focus the rest of your team and you can kill them while the opp do that. Is hard to tell what is better in this game honestly, so many factors to consider...
i personally feel the laning phase with lethality is quite comfortable for me
Great video, explain in-depth of 2 of his very distinct playstyles.
But i have to wonder if mixed build work the same, part lethality part bruiser?
You finally look and my comment from like the last 1 or 2 video about aatrox lethality
Thx Naayil 👍
thank you naayil
another pro about lethality is that it scales better than bruiser does late game and you can still build bruiser items after seryldas 3rd for some tankiness if the game goes on that long. steraks or sundered 4th is very good, spirit 5th
me encantaría que la guía tuviera subtítulos en español igualmente muy buena guía naayil
Thank you 😢
Brusier is overall safe because you are more tankier from the healing plus bonus HP and resistances, allowing you to take more hits and frontline for your team when necessary. The builds also keeps you alive longer for your Qs to land because there is a fixed delay on his q and it is not as quick as a yone, yasuo, or fiora q. BTW, for ranged characters like Vayne and Quinn I generally build Sundered Sky into Seryldas(for the slow) along with Second Wind and revitalize doran shield. The Seryldas is to capitalize on the kill when the Ranged character is low hp especially when they have ghost. I mostly win by tracking their ability cooldown and always aiming just to land multiple Q1s backing away afterward. For Vayne specifically if you build this way, you should know the distance between your champion and the walls so that you dont get pinned by Vayne's Condemn since you're not building Edge of Night but Seryldas. The goal in this lane is not to kill Vayne but to get farm in Exp and gold, punish Vayne when she gets close and only commit when your skills and spells are up and you know Vayne already used up her Ult and ghost. Seryldas only works when you are paitence and you are able to consistently land the sweet spot on your Q1s. Alternatively, you can just build tanky and rely/enable your carries to do their job effectively. You should know by instinct by the time Sunderer Sky is purchased as to whether you go Serlydas or just become tanky.
I can not say that I am a one trick since i generally rotate between Aatrox, Renekton, Darius, and a Brusier build on Rumble with Conqueror. Conqueror on Rumble can work with items like Liandry's and Riftmaker. But I play Aatrox more so because I have a harder time dealing with Ranged when I play Renekton and Darius. Rumble is my general backup champion if I cant play Aatrox against ranged because I at least get to lit them up on fire.
Thoughts on taking atk spd shard over adaptive force shard? Smoother combos, easier to cs early, faster sundered sky proc and more gold efficient?
i use the atk spd one on every single champ i play xD can't live without it
My favorite part is the unedited countdown

U are giving rational and valuable opinion, nice
Just started one tricking Aatrox; always thought he was super difficult - 40 games later I cracked the code & have a 70% WR with him. Lethality IMO is way more fun than bruiser. Thanks for sharing - Great video. Def subbing to the best Aatrox!!!
"follow me home when i came from the super market" XDD
Bro we agree with whatever you say just upload another match i need my daily Naayil gameplay dopamine
Prophane hydra, Sunderland and Shojin are my core build for aatrox. If my team is winning hard i just add more lethality, but if we're even i just go bruiser
Awesome guide man! honest and clear. Question, as an OTP do you dodge if Aatrox gets picked or banned? or do you have an off pick, if that's the case what would your recommend as an off pick for an OTP Aatrox
I saw that XiaoChaoMeng and Chay (chinese aatrox otp's) do a mixed build. They rush prophane into divine sunderer-shojin-eclipse.. (sometimes they still go serylda) What do u think about this? (just saw the end of video where u talk about this x) but anyway for them it works)
bro was lazy to cut it so we get the 3 2 1 go POGGGGGGGGGG
Half apology video
Half guide
Im new aatrox player and i think press the attack is the best runes for him
ok my thought is that both builds depends on what your playstyle is. Another Challenger Aatrox otp (김민재04) even mentioned this. It's quite literally dependent on what your playstyle is. That's all there is to it imo
About the runes: have you considered cheap shot? You apply CC with every dmg ability, it would have a very high value.
And for resolve I would think that overgrowth would be better than revitilize, as pretty much always on the summary of rune effects revitilize is pretty mid, especially if you consider that it boosts fountain healing, usually 30% of the value of the rune is fountain healing.
Just my 2 cents, keep rocking
" lethality as it said is lethal" 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗
So, what you are saying is that you go lethality either because you probably won't win lane so you play for later or because your team can team fight by themselves or your team has enough peel, so you need to burst enemy rather than frontline with Aatrox, and you pick bruiser with a team that has low peel but high damage to play frontline, one thing I know is that the point of frontline is mainly your team can out range the enemy so you won't get caught out as easily and that is more important for a bruiser compared to a tank.
What about full tank aatrox ? In a very rare scenario were your team has no frontline and the enemu team has no tank killer ?
Maybe on a YT video for fun. You did a video one Time about tanky aatrox. Maybe try utility / tankish build idk, could bé good actually.
Very useful guide! thank you so much.
My biggest concern right now is, what to do or what to build when the enemy team is faster while I'm using the bruiser build? normally i just go for armor/magic resist items and let my team do the rest but most of the time i can't catch the enemy, the previous season is wasn't that much of a issue since Serylda worked just fine but now i don't know what to do.
Sorry for my grammar English is not my main language hehe....
Greetings from Dominican Republic!
I think stridebreaker could help, I honestly don't know
went 4/0 got eclispe and proceeded to int 4/6 getting 2nd item at 20
Any other time, I'll always go bruiser, unless the enemies are being cocky and pick no tanks. That's where i like the lethality matchup.
What would be the best buld for arena
I know this is probably a dumb low elo question but have we thought of any builds that find a happy middle somehow?
For example:
Eclipse - Profane - Sundered - Steraks - Visage 👀
Personal opinion but i went back on aatrox after some months (im low elo) and went letha because i wanted to try. Ended up 15/0/2 where no one could even damage me without being oneshotted 2 secs later
another bad thing about aatrox bruiser is the antiheal, aatrox bruiser is build upon healing and not doing lots of damage and in high elo everyone takes anti heal making him so much less usefull, but if you went damage aatrox antiheal wont matter because you focused more in damage and one shotting opponents
No ap build is the best
why not both ?
"Follow me home from the supermarket" 💀
In simple words: lethality is better if you're overfeeded and can 1v5 the enemy team, but bruiser is a safer option because you have some damage, health, armors and healing which makes it overall consistent build
👍
i honestly think that after sundered sky , lethality items wouldnt as bad as only lethality items i think hybrid is the way
You mean sundered sky?
@@johnakkman9993 yes mb 😅
U mean go lethality & sundered?
I need hug
Honestly, I have been going lethality and it sucks. Even when I get ahead I still get oneshot. I can win lane and kill people but as soon as they get their bruiser core they beat my lethality. I feel like eclipse into sunderer skies into dd, serylda and spirit would be the better way to go. You still get ok damage, but are far tankier. I will test this but every time I go lethality I just int.
what about eclipse for lethality
with lethality getting massively nerfed next patch this video was basically trivialized sadly
Should have done presentation with PowerPoint 😂
Personally I really enjoy hybrid with profane, dirk, sundered, serylda
I feel like this build is a much stronger for solo q and your 2 item spike with profane sundered let’s you one shot while being unkillable as long as you are decent at aatrox. I think if u are starting or a beginner aatrox this build is not as good because the laning phase is harder from not having sundered first
@redpanpan7979 But Naayil said when behind, bruiser sucks. While profane, you can play safe.
I agree with bruiser build being best for 1v9. I disagree with snowball and laning. Serrated dirk and brutaliser, even tiamat, are sooo much more impactful laning than tunneler. You can't just consider the item's impact when it is completed. A lot of laning phase is done with components, not the full item. Your waveclear is better with lethality components, you have to land less q's to kill, giving you less opportunities to be ganked. But if you are ganked, you definitely die faster. Sundered sky depends on movespeed and your opponents being melee. Aatrox also has shitty AS, sometimes you waste sundered sky CD when you are relatively healthy. Because the heal is missing HP, even if you get the "overheal" shield from Sundered Sky passive, it is still more or less wasting most of the item's power. Conqueror does not go well with lethality build. Your target is either dead in 2 q's and an auto, or you're dead. Phase rush and comet are preferable with lethality. You do not lack damage even if you go phase rush because of Absolute Focus and Gathering Storm. Ghost poro also gives you 18 AD, although ingenius hunter is really good. If you time hydra right, there's almost no animation following a Q. You don't really need AS just cuz you plan to go hydra. Playing lethality requires your team to make openings for you, so it is hard to solo carry when your team is very behind. Playing bruiser is about creating openings for your team. If your team can't capitalize on those openings, then you're still useless, unless you're megafed as bruiser. But it's hard to get megafed as bruiser. Like you said, less objective damage, less burst potential. People often don't expect the lethality damage, especially with hydra eclipse. They have flash but die with it. Sudden impact giving you 9 lethality on almost every single E is godlike synergy with lethality. If you're open to considering pro player's builds, maybe you would be open to considering how Xiao Ming plays Aatrox. He has multiple challenger accounts on CN superserver. He proxies in certain match ups, he takes ghost in certain match ups, he has a very unique game understanding when it comes to Aatrox. He routinely smurfs in high master and low GM games.
Im having feelings for you Naayil
i mean shi f it we go both go full lethality and just buy sundered its goated
yooooo
bruiser is always good if you 1vs9
Is this still true after patch 14.9?
but why is no one building sundered sky with lethality
Can this be considered season 14 guide?
its just the builds for now so no
he said he is working on the season 14 guide i don't think it's this one because he mentioned at the beginning of the video that he thought of this video a few hours ago
@@Sleep919 ok
Why is deaths dance bad ?
Good video Naayil! Thanks for explaining 😊
Honestly i'm onetricking Aatrox for a year now mainly because of you, so i'm grateful.
About the items for Aatrox i have a question, recently Ravenous Hydra was buffed so it's active is now useful, and after some testing it feels like good old goredrinker that i honestly miss so much. I've been building Sundered Sky into Rav Hydra into Steraks and than some tanky items if needed. Did you tried this playstyle yet? It fixes some issues of bruiser build that you mentioned like some issues with wave clear and damage, while in the same moment gives you more opportunity to stay longer in teamfights and do more objective damage. But into more ranged enemy comps i'm still taking Shojin because obvious reasons. I hope it finds you well and if you'd like you try it! Have a good day/night and stay strong!
nah
u are handsome Naayil
Teşekkür ederim
it Might sound like troll but the item Opportunity is so good at Aatroz just because of the fact that movement speed is very important in the current meta
yeah no you're trolling, ult reset already refreshes the decaying movespeed buff
@@dariusfilip4695 try with ghost if you want ro troll more its even better
@@dariusfilip4695 you are missing on a lot i legit got free 200lp in diamond2 thanks to the item
@@dariusfilip4695 opportunity passive is insanely good for burst damage and after getting a kill it would be 700 ms or more
@@omargaming5805 i don't see the need for that much movespeed, and the passive fades after entering combat, which would mean he would have to play like a true assassin instead of the backline cleanup role he has when running lethality, no?
AAtrox is goddamn juggernaut not a sissy talon or something I personally hate when they do something like this with chad champions.
Xiao chao meng do both and it work well, bcs both are broken why even bother
yo
Why not both lol
I would say that lethality has better 1v1 or 1v2 since the unexpected high damage and burst can do a ton and also the laning items work best on lethality Aatrox like maw and any heal. You can also go attack speed shard instead of double damage and still have the rune free for picking life steal for some sustain of tenacity, this way you have the as at lv 1 and can win lane at minute 3 against Darius Fiora Irelia and other pussy toplaners that abuse weak Aatox lv 1
From how you showed teamfight examples with lethality... it sesms better to go khazix or talon at this point :)
🤨
nayil i tried full aatrox combo in practice tool with full lethality and full bruiser build and guess what
bruiser build deal a little bit more damage then lethality
You didnt put any armor on the dummy right? That should be the only reason bruiser dealt more DMG. İf you put armor on it you will see lethality does more dmg
no i didnt , u right mb@@baybora5791
Put amor and hp on the dummy. And lethality Will do way more damage just because seryldas giving amor pen based on lethality
I think you from a tree is a good choice
Lethality will get nerfed anyways
hear me out
on-hit aatrox….
A lot of pro players actually played bruiser aatrox s13, especially during worlds when Goredrinker was still a thing. Zeus still played Lethality Aatrox even after it was nerfed, and the reason is exactly as you said, that T1 drafted around Zeus's Lethality Aatrox. Specifically, his jungler Oner would lock in low economy tank junglers like Rell or Poppy and build Knight's Vow and put it on Zeus, making him tankier despite building lethality. Zeus' healing would also benefit Oner through KV interactions.
The only success I've had mixing Lethality and Bruiser is w/ Fleet Footwork & usual Precision Tree+Sudden Impact & Ingenious Hunter/Revitalize & Second Wind or Bone Plating. Defensive T2 Boots & Voltaic Cyclosword -> Divine Sunderer -> Visage -> Shojin and/or situationals like Omen/Sterak/Cleaver/Edge of Night/Serylda, you get the idea.
This build only works if all 3 conditions are met:
- The enemy Top is ranged or is a lane bully pre-6 (Fleet Footwork helps w/ chill laning phase)
- Enemy team comp has decent magic damage and min. 2 squishies that need to be ran down (Cyclosword slow and dmg helps similar to Iceborn previous seasons, satisfying sustain and 1-auto burst w/ Sundered Sky and passive proc)
- Your team has good CC or enchanters that can heal/shield you (maximizes Visage)
That said, this build still needs more testing.
u missed that u are the best aatrox so non care about build
Lethality is bad imo if youre team is good
