Awesome, thank you for being a part of JagJam! Happy to be involved as well.
Minor correction: I did host JagFest in 1999, but not again until this year as a one-time event for the 25th anniversary. Not sure I'm ready to take on hosting an annual event! ;)
Wow this is so cool! I love my Jaguar
Cheers! Had no idea you're into the Jaguar as well - awesome! 🥂
@@datassetteuser356 It has the best ever port of Wolfenstein 3D :) :)
@@ActionRetro Oh yes! 👍👍
What a great idea. Nice one! I enjoyed working on the Jag (Sensi Soccer), though brief as it was. Wish I had got to work on the Cannon Fodder port, now that would have been fun!
A great port and one of the best games on the Jag!
Both were great ports! So maybe you want to dip your toe into some little Jaguar action again then? That would be awesome! 🤩
Very cool! Always great to come across someone who helped work on a professional Jag release back in the day.
Jaaaaaag. Love the sound of this. Looking forward to seeing the new games resulting from the comp.
Good luck to all participants. I recently got to play on a real Jag for the first time - it's an interesting platform that never reached it's full potential commercially. Nice to see that like with many other retro platforms it is getting supported with decent homebrew releases long after it's demise 😃
Kinda makes you wonder what could have been. But yes, there are some nice homebrew titles out there. Hopefully this jam will spur some more 🕹️
I'm so devastated that my Jaguar got melted because my brother (for whatever reason) took the power brick for my Jaguar! My younger self thought "oh, this is fine it fits"... I know it gets a lot of flak for not being very good, but I loved it. I loved playing AvP and getting quite a few nightmares in my younger years!
AvP was so immersive for its time. Great game!
Yes, I hear that sadly quite a few Jags have been lost over the years thanks to PSU mixups, I think it's a bit of an unusual one (I use a Mega Drive brick with mine).
I'll add my name to that list 😢 The SNES psu will work right....hmm whats that burning smell. What's worse I chucked it (boxed) and sold the 6 boxed games including Alien VS Predator to Gamestation for £20.
@@TheImperial109A mistake. It's an easy fix with the materials for less than 10€...
@andrejgerbec8645 That's the worst part, knowing it could most likely have been fixed!
@@TheImperial109 Hold me. We are likely in the same position, except young me was so angry at my brother and upset that I just binned the console. I kept the game and controller for years until I moved about 6 years ago.
There used to be a used video game store where i lived called hiawatha video. In 1995 or 1996, they had a overstock of new atari jaguars and games.
At the time, i could have bought new atari jaguars for 20 dollars each and games for 10 dollars each.
Yes, I actually picked one up here in the UK in the early 2000s for next to nothing. They couldn't give them away!
@@ctrlaltrees I almost bought one back when they were cheap as chips but there wasn't many good games for it
Could have called it "Jag-off". Missed opportunity.
Sorry for letting you down there. Guess I'm just a Jag-a$& 😂
I don't like Jam, musician's that Jam and or being in a Jam
...I'll be there
Nice use of the "Atari ST Font" in your end credits
Very cool, thank you for doing this, hope to see new blood enter the ring.
Hey, Rees! I was motivated by the video and I will have a game submitted. I followed your info and got into jagstudio. Lot's of learning with the AtariAge community helping me along.
The JagStudio and Raptor guys feel elbowed out of jagjam. Can you share some love their way?
Many thanks for your videos.
Nice idea! Looking forward to see some cool stuff in a few Months!
Are you still using your solar setup to power this youtube channel ?
Jaguar was the true 64-bit console, N64 was the fake. Facts.
Jaguar was utterly SHIT, massively OVERPRICED and an epic failure. Fact.. 😉
@@DaveMoorland-zv3tn I'm sorry but why can't more people today seemingly detect jokes/sarcasm?
I pledged an extra $50 to Rich Whitehouse if they enter and win this.
We have good relations to Rich, we will make sure that he gets his money from you!😅
@@atarijaguarsgarage8873 he has no worries about that.
