    Thanks for this tutorial, its great.
    Curious if there is a way to target the animation to a specific index within the expression selector.
    i.e. line three out of seven.
    I am looking to use one animator to trigger a scale effect out of order hopefully by just commenting on the marker the particular line index.
    I'm very new to expressions and I can't seem to grasp how to tell the amount animation to just affect one line in the selector.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks so much!

    Is it possible to do this but with a random animation per word? ??
    I mean, one word comes from right to left, another from top to bottom, another from left to right, etc.
    if this was in some next update, it would be awesome! or maybe a new script tool!!

    Sergei - Is it possible (with the Markers option) to make the first 2 words come on at once? Have LINK TEXT come on together and then ANIMATION TO come on together. I have the EXPRESSION SELECTOR set to WORDS, but how would I manipulate (if it's even possible) 2 specific words at the beginning of the sentence/text since it goes by textIndex. Just wondering if that's possible.
    Thanks for your great tutorials. I use the tips you provide often.

      So the whole code is:
      anim = thisProperty;
      numMarkers = marker.numKeys;
      delayDur = framesToTime(effect("Delay Duration")(1).value);
      delay = (textIndex - 1) * delayDur;

    Is there a way to make the marker correspond to the exact word (without delay)? In other words, I want to marker to signify the final movement of the animation. The reason for this is because I have numerous words (for a lyric video) and it's easiest to have the marker align with the word exactly (rather than having to place the marker a little bit ahead of the word). Basically, I'm trying to set it up so the marker so that it corresponds to the end of the word animation. Thus I can listen to the song, and when the word is being said, I can place the marker over that exact time (instead of dealing with an animation delay). I feel like there is a simple tweak to the expression but tried a number of different things, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to do it.

  • @processandbeing

    Can anybody help a brother out?
    I need to do something like this but with Right-to-Left text (like Hebrew, Arabic, etc). But the animation parameters always prefer Left-to-Right animations so my text flows in from the last word of each line. The only way to solve that is reverse the effect flow... Which works for ONE line of text but for text layers with multiple lines it means the last line animates first (albeit correctly starting at the right).

    Добрый день! Не подскажете где можно изучить extendscript по AE? С какими-то блоггерами законнектиться, или мб есть какие-то курсы? Самостоятельно с нуля пишу микро-скрипты, но с ужасными костылями, очень тяжело и медленно и ограниченно - не хватает базы очень. Я так понимаю нужна база JavaScript + именно синтаксис и законы ExtendScript по AE...
