TY Juliana for your tips and encouragement with these tiny flower dies. I found your video after trying to assemble these flowers, a d finding it difficult to match up the small "highlight" layers on the tiny four petaled pink flowers shown on the die sleeve in the upper right hand corner. Your suggestion to look at the etched lines on the dies themselves to see how they fit together was very helpful, and after completing my first flower the rest were faster to do. I also found that I could cut just the basic silhouettes of a flower to act as a base upon which I adhered the detailed flower to fill in my bouquet more quickly...I just adhered the top flower a little bit askew so that the bottom silhouette
looked more like a shadow piece. Repeating this strategy allowed me to fill in space on my design. I was inspired by Tim's make on his CZcams live to create a trellis covered in climbing roses and needed to die cut a lot of flowers.
I'm so glad you found this video helpful! I bet your trellis turned out beautiful! Thanks for watching and leaving such a sweet comment!
Thank you SO MUCH for this video!!❤❤❤
Thank you, Juliana, for doing this video so quickly. I have saved it so that I can refer to it again and again when I’m confused over the little die cuts. Thank you for all the tips! Love your work 😊
You are welcome and I'm so glad you have found it helpful!
Thanks so much for sharing. I am about to assemble these beauties for the first time and have found your video to have helpful hints.
You are so welcome! I hope your assembly went well!
Thanks for this video! I took the die’s out of the pkg, and was stumped. Now, I am ready to give it a go! Thanks again.
So happy my video encouraged you! I hope you are enjoying them now!
I have this set and it does get easier the more you work with it. The flowers turn out very pretty. Thanks for the tutorial !
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial!
Thanks for sharing your technique. The biggest challenge for me were the tiniest flowerset. With my bad eyesight I couldn’t do them. A reversed tweezer was my biggest friend with assembling the pieces.
you are welcome! yes those tiny ones are SO hard to see. I’m glad the tweezers work for you! I am so uncoordinated with them that they just make it worse for me! 🤣
Great video! I loved Tim's idea of cutting them all out then watercoloring... Seeing it in action was awesome!
Thank you! I love the watercoloring part too as it definitely gives it a wonderful effect!
THANK YOU!! ❤❤❤
You're welcome!!
Wish I had watched your video before making mine. I used ink smooshed paper and collage medium but am going to make more with watercolour paper and then paint them. I like the look of your painted flowers. Thanks for the video. They are tiny pieces to work with but they are cute and I can already see they will be a good embellishment. Thanks so much for posting the video with useful tips! As always your videos are very helpful Juliana.
I did the ink smooshed the first time too and I’ve since found this to be so much easier to manage!
Thank you so much for doing this video; it was VERY helpful!
You are so welcome!
I’ve been working on this set for over a week now.
I hope this video helped out a bit. It's definitely not a set for those with no patience!
I have this set too and haven't worked with it yet. Your tutorial is so helpful with the tips and tools you shared. Thank you!
Thanks so much for letting me know! I hope you have fun working with this set soon!
Thank you for showing how to get the best use from this set. I bought it and then had an attack....the pieces are so tiny! But with patience and a Zen frame of mind, I think these will be fun. After seeing how you do it! Thanks again!
Glad I could help! Patience is definitely needed with this set, but the end result is worth it!
This die is on my list, but I have loads of colored card stock to use up.
It's a beautiful die set and using it with colored cardstock is a great option as well! Hope you can get it soon and start creating!
Thank you Juliana for the tips. For me you are a very great artist and I love your works! Unfortunately I don't have the set yet because it's not available in Germany at the moment. But it's at the top of my wish list and I'm really looking forward to it.
Thanks for watching! I hope it arrives soon so you can begin to create with it!
This set is definitely one of Tim’s more challenging to put together but the results are so worth it, I’ll forgive him. 😄I got mine months ago and just started using it two days ago. Of course that was mostly because I was in a creative funk for quit some time that only recently lifted (thank goodness). You definitely need both time and patience with this set, and don’t do what I did and cut them all out on one piece of paper just because they fit. I found it much better to deal with these one at a time. Also, what others have said is true, once you do even just one, you ‘get’ how they are supposed to go together. These dies are certainly not for everyone, but if you are a detail nut like me, you will appreciate just how beautiful these can be with a little patience.
I could not agree more with the challenge of this die set AND the results in the end! I'm so happy to hear that you are out of your creative funk and back in making mode!
Thanks so much, really helpful…would be great to get a video from Sizzix for assemblage
You're welcome! Thanks so much for watching!
I really want this set but I just don't know. Your video did help to sway me in the direction to purchase. Thanks for sharing.
It is a slightly challenging set to create with, but the end result is beautiful!
