  • The Igbo people also sometimes misspelled and mispronounced as Ibo and formerly also Iboe, Ebo, Eboe, Eboans, Heebo; natively Ṇ́dị́ Ìgbò) are an ethnic group in Nigeria. They are primarily found in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States. A sizable Igbo population is also found in Delta and Rivers States. Ethnic Igbo populations are found in Cameroon, Gabon, and Equatorial Guinea, as migrants as well as outside Africa. There has been much speculation about the origins of the Igbo people, which are largely unknown. Geographically, the Igbo homeland is divided into two unequal sections by the Niger River-an eastern (which is the larger of the two) and a western section. The Igbo people are one of the largest ethnic groups in Africa.
The Igbo language is part of the Niger-Congo language family. Its regional dialects are somewhat mutually intelligible amidst the larger "Igboid" cluster. The Igbo homeland straddles the lower Niger River, east and south of the Edoid and Idomoid groups, and west of the Ibibioid (Cross River) cluster.
Before the period of British colonial rule in the 20th century, the Igbo were politically fragmented by the centralized chiefdoms of Nri, Aro Confederacy, Agbor and Onitsha.

The Igbos of Nigeria: Who are They?
As of September 03, 2023, I approached the Lord God Almighty on the question: who are the Igbos of Nigeria? God Almighty revealed to me that the Igbos are the Israelites from the tribe of Judah. He revealed that King David was/is an Igbo. In other words, David was/is from Judah. He backed up this revelation with Psalm 63. This is not the first time God had revealed the Igbos to me. I cried the first time I got the information about myself. Psalm 76.1 says, "In Judah God is KNOWN, His name is great in Israel." Let me ask; What is this statement telling us? Let me know how you feel about this priceless information from above? Priest-King Charles Iwuchukwu. Igbos kwe nu-Kwezue nu. God bless you all.

I don't have any problem with you stating that the Yorubas or Hausas are better than the IGBOS. It's your own opinon and you are free to express yourself but infringing on the freedom of expression and the right to space of others is very offensive and unacceptable. Other than Davido, nobody knows the yorubas. The most distinguished Nigerians abroad are majority the Igbo, nobody knows the yorubas and that's why you'll keep crying because of your inferiority complex.
Just the way other Africans feel intimidated when you mention Nigerians is the way the yorubas and other tribes feel intimidated when you mention Igbo. The inferiority complex in you people especially the yorubas is too much and too obvious.
90% of your men football national team are Igbo, 80% of your women national football team are igbo.
