Man... its crazy to see this video after so many years. You should definitely do this again and make this into a series every year. Or even do exploring videos like us.

it's a lot of work, and mostly thankless, and a bit like pounding your head against a brick wall called "progress"

@@JonathonDenson Haha a lot of work, but here I am, 100+ locations deep within 5 years of exploring non-demolished abandoned places haha, majority now actually ARE demolished though

The creepy thing is those houses used to be someone’s home. They were born, lived and/or died there. They were loved and cared for. Now look at them. Can’t help but wonder how they got to this point. Very sad.

The building I was working on until 11/12/14 is Guardian Storage. It's located at 5873 Centre Ave. I'm told it was a car dealership at one time. As a brick mason and restorarion specialist I found that the filler brick between the 6th and 8th floor had fire damage. Any leads to this would be greatly appreciated! P.s. If you pass the building, myself and another Co - worker repainted the large depiction on the side!

I visited Pittsburgh for a month in January. What gorgeous old buildings preserved in Germantown area. It's a crime to let these buildings go to waste - they were made so well and so much variety on a theme. That city seems like a big museum of past America to me. It should be refilled with more productive people - only about half full now. Now that we've alienated Russia, China, India, OPEC and many other countries with our sanctions, we're going to have to start building our own products for a change.

Sad. The homes in Manchester, the Italianate row houses, the Presbyterian Church. All we're so beautiful and solid. A real asset to the area. You can't get those back.

Not really. They are very old and not well kept. The rooms are tiny for todays standards, also building codes have changed and they are more of a danger and very expensive to renovate. Sad to see yes!
