- Dumpster fire engine build gets swapped onto a mini atv!
In this video we swap the engine we made out of spare parts onto a free kids atv frame for less than $30 worth of parts we actually had to buy. Putting the predator 212 harbor freight engine onto the mini atv was a pretty easy job, all we needed to do was weld on a go power sports engine mount plate and run a chain. We had to do a slight tune up on the brakes and the steering but after that we had a really fun time ripping it around and trying not to hurt ourselves!

I have a mini ATV. I have an extra 212. I originally put it into a mini-bike, but it was terrifying.
The one I'm riding in my video I lost my leg on pretty much....

@@markjenko3117 in my case the throttle got stuck and I went 50+ mph and couldn't stop lol I had to jump off and roll out on the ride near cars that was fucking terrible lol I have since used the motor for a xr250 I had laying around
Man I got the same 4 Wheeler for free to! They got the predator engines at harbor freight for 99 bucks. It's meant to be ty for the video man. 👍👍👍

Im about to be building one like this for a 9 year old kid. Keeping the stock sprocket and running a torque converter though. It should rip, really with him on it

@Trevor Ober there's different models. They're all pretty much the same size but they vary in prices with engine size.
I had a 110 put diesel in it blew the transmition clutch something but it doesn't run so I'm going to put a 212 in in it

Can you guys try to get bigger tires for this and try to make a mini super-swamper?
I was thinking on doing a similar idea with my old three-wheeler since NOS parts are hard to find and I don't want to destroy the original engine in it. Of course I'd have to find a way of adding in an engine plate that doesn't involve frame cutting because that's one thing I won't do is cut into it. As for your brand of engine, You should call it a Hondabishi Carnivore. :P
The Chinese quad I have has the sprocket on the opposite side. Any suggestions

I was going to do this last week on my channel but my quad frame is smaller
looks fun as all hell....... kinda sketch on vertical stability...lol .....are you sure you want to go faster without widening the axles? a lot.....
With the gearing that little thing has it should be doing backflips. Maybe a better clutch?

I had a 600cc motor with no muffler ringing in my ear for a few months.... dear God I regret that.

in the middle of doing a 90cc swap to predator 212 on small eton quad - going to go with the stock gearbox and torque converter first, see how it rides - the box counts 9:1 when I spin input and output - will the predator crank high enough rpms like the 90cc polaris or do will the quad run slower?? If i do ot like performance, is it worth flipping the drive shaft and fabricating new rear shock placement in order to run the chain straight off the torque converter and forget about the 9:1 gearbox? quick google search saying the polaris 90cc tops out like 12k rpm... predator cant hit that...

Y'all should put it on Kartfab's dyno. That engine might make more or less power than a 212. Who knows?

I managed to do this without replacing the stock rear sprocket, i just used a torque converter($55ebay) and a 8 tooth torque convertor sprocket($8ebay) im super happy with my setup, wish we could get together and see whats better. What size are the tires on yours?
Do you have the link for the torque converter and was it a 420 chain?

@@scottrobinson9666 i had to buy the smaller 8 tooth sprocket separately off ebay as well it didnt have enough torque with the 10 tooth they come with to pull wheelies or really steep inclines.
@16driver16 thank you for all the info. Just ordered the torque converter for it and gonna order the 8 tooth after this. Off had do you remember what size your rear sprocket is? I had a 34 tooth and put a 42 tooth on.

How come they Predator engine is so much slower than a China engine but it's bigger ?
I build one with a built 212 and tourqe converter it went 50mph and it got unstable and flipped on me

i’m a broke highschooler i have a 50cc quad same thing no gears nothing and now it ain’t running can i pay y’all u put a 212 into it? u can also take the old engine i’ll pay to ship it out and everything else parts and labor i don’t have the tools or space to do this i work in a little shed with a impact and socket set and some other basic things

i had one of that type quad whit a 72cc, stole the topend of it to my 50cc masai db, the masai orginaly went 50kmh whitout restrictors, whit the 72cc it went 80kmh(14:48 sprockets), then i put the masai engine whit the 72cc into the atv whit now 14:38 and it probpably would go 90kmh or something like that, whit half trothle it went 60kmh on 4th gear and it was swerving crazy

That’s a 110, 125 engine or like 107 for sure not a 90 it’s a automatic engine that why no gear those thing will suprise you I have a few
