It's very sad how TWICE can only do American interviews where TWICE interview themselves and not by American hosts like Jimmy Fallon or James Corden. TWICE is missing out all the fun that BTS and BLACKPINK are having in the US.

@@chaerily1187 Yeah like TWICE will be 7 years old in 2022. I hope that TWICE can do a flinch challenge on the James Corden show before Corden's contract with his show expires and before TWICE disbands. Because of Covid, it is so difficult for TWICE to promote in America. It will be very difficult for TWICE to study English because of their packed schedules and adding English lessons to their busy schedules will be a big no no. The west doesn't want to hear from translators or subtitles, they want to hear directly from the members themselves.
I was listening to Eyes Wide Open but this is just as important.

Like if they were on a show like Jimmy Fallon, James Corden, or Good Morning America and they ask TWICE a question. They would probably would understand what there talking about. TWICE will embarrass themselves in front of an American audience and they would be made fun of by the western media. It will also be a huge waste of time and money for JYP and it will negatively impact the company.
I think mina can speak english but she is shy because her voice is small and maybe her grammar is not right yet

I mean thats due to language barrier. A good interview is the sign of a good host because the individuals have to be able to open up and feel comfortable. I imagine it is hard to feel comfortable when you are having to wait for the english host to tell the translator what they want to ask and then wait for the response from the members. A lot of lost time and inability to have an easy back and forth.
@@AbbottFrizzell That's not the only reason actually. American interviewers are known for being xenophobic and spewing nonsense. And not to forget they repeatedly ask the same kind of question, which is really annoying in some people's opinion.

I think it's because there are no hosts with them in American interviews, so they're left to themselves and each interview (or game rather) kinda feels the same. You can't blame Twice or the media though, given the language barrier.

i think it's because of the fact that they aren't sure how to act and are probably a bit cautious of what they say or do in those american interviews and shows unlike in korean tv shows where they're used to it and are aware of how things work there

I agree with you. TWICE looks so uncomfortable when they are in an American show and are only comfortable on Korean shows. It is the total opposite for BTS and BLACKPINK. If Somi was a member of TWICE, the group would had been able to promote on American shows or if Mina had enough confidence and was not an shy person.

Same story with BTS. It's probably because BTS and BP are more popular internationally. Plus BTS gotten disrespected in many Korean shows in the past and YG doesn't have good relationships with Korean award shows and television shows.

Language barriers is the biggest problem for TWICE. Non of the members are fluent in English. TWICE needs at least one member who is fluent in English. Also, JYP needs to promote them more in America.

I think TWICE are a lot more awkward in American interviews and a lot more relaxed in Korean interviews because a) they can’t speak English well, b) they’ve worked in Korea a lot more than in the US so they’re more familiar with that country and environment, and c) American interviews in general are a lot more formal and restrained than Korean interviews. I think it’s the opposite for BTS & BLACKPINK because they get interviewed more in America than in Korea, so it’s more familiar for them, and also because they have fluent English speakers.
I agree with you. TWICE promotes a lot in Korea and Japan and barely in the US. The only American interviews that TWICE do is the ones where TWICE interview themselves and not by American hosts like Jimmy Fallon or James Corden. If Covid-19 never happened, TWICE would had done a flinch challenge on the James Corden show which I hope it happens one day. The lack of English is what is holding back TWICE and the group doesn't promote enough in America or have a concept that will appeal to American audiences. JYP should just hire a full time translator for them. It will impossible for TWICE to learn English because of their packed schedules and the group is always having a comeback. Adding English lessons to their already exhausting and busy schedules will be a big no no. If TWICE appeared on an American show and the host asked them a question that they don't understand, they will embarrass themselves in front of an entire American audience and they be made fun of and it will be huge waste of time and money for JYP.

There’s no really difference between Korean and International interviews. They’re still funny af. It’s what the interviewers do that’s different. Korean interviewers are more engaging to the members while international interviewers aren’t, they aren’t even included in the screen. It’s like the Korean interviewers are talking WITH them, while the international ones are just talking TO them. That why I think it’s more nerve racking doing the international ones thus making the atmosphere a little bit tense than the Korean ones.

You act like BTS and BP are quiet as a mouse on Korean shows and are miserable or something. You also realize that both groups are still very proud of Korea, right? Even Lisa loves Korea so much that she calls herself a Thai-Korean. She says Thailand is "my country" and Korea is "our country" like the way Koreans do. No matter how much you try to take away BTS and BP from Korea, Korea is still their home.

More and More and I Can't Stop Me MVs suck while Fanfare and Better MVs look amazing. In Twicelights world tour, TWICE had more dates in Japan than America. JYP promotes TWICE in Japan very good but when it comes to Korean comebacks, they suck at promotions.
@@jordicarvajal2834 I think at a point they were doing much better in japan then Korea so jyp decided to focus more on Japanese activists but in the process he completely neglected Korean activists as well as there comebacks and don't get me started on the u.s (them not speaking English verwell aside) it could be possible that jyp dosen't want them to branch out in the u.s they have little to know promotion there and appeared on zero tv shows unlike itzy and starykids the newer groups who have been promoted in the u.s many times and have been/made guessd appearances on tvshow's many times even if atleast one member is a little good(at english) he could have still made it work if he wanted and now like u said it's coming off like TW don't really care for international fan's
@@gae4kkura734 1. Yeah, JYP is focusing more on Japan for TWICE. But JYP also has NiziU. In fact, even NiziU has a better chance of global fame than TWICE since NiziU has members who can speak English. JYP even said that he does have plans to push NiziU internationally. If TWICE is making more money in Japan, they should stop doing Korean comebacks and focus only on Japan. How can TWICE be considered a K-pop group if they promote so much in Japan and invest more on Japanese comebacks and promotions.
2. Yes, TWICE cannot speak English. JYP probably knows this so he barely promotes them internationally. To be honest, TWICE wasn't really a group made to go international. It would be impossible for TWICE to be popular in America since they have zero English speakers or familiar with western culture. If JYP wants to make TWICE bigger, than expand them into the US, the largest music market in the world.
