Hi Everyone, Kyle here from Signum and Straton Watch Co. Thanks to Jody for doing the competition and hope the two winners will be happy with their watches. My goal when creating this full lume Cuda was for it to be a real contender in Jody’s Lumewars, I am excited to see the outcome of series 11 💪 A few things regarding Jody’s feedback, our focus has always been on the watches themselves as packaging is often discarded or forgotten about in a cupboard so we decided to go for basic packaging and focus more on the watch and keep the price as low as possible so sure we can expect Jody’s feedback regarding packaging being very average its just my personal reasoning behind the choice, sure we could have bumped up the overall selling price by $30-$50 for better packaging but decided against it. The reason regarding the bracelet not being coated is because of issues with the screw pins not being able to be unscrewed after the coating was applied, the bracelet cannot be coated completely assembled for this reason and its just too cost and time consuming to coat the bracelets single components, so I decided at minimum the most important part is the watch case so we scratch and hardened coated it to prolong its life especially being gr.2. Regarding the screw links we will certainly make sure that there is as little play as possible between links 🙏 All the best and goodluck to everyone. Regards Kyle

Also with you on the packaging. That's too bad with the coating. We comsumers don't understand all the problems and decisions that go into production. But we have to give it to Jody for always telling it like it is.
Very smart and wise decision, regarding the packaging, in your case the content sublimates the container💪, there is no issue for me, don't give up in this way of designing your watches.👍
Yep. Packaging is the least of my concerns when buying a watch.
@@lukemcevoy2385 We have always been taught that the packaging of a product is a powerful marketing tool, and one of the means of communication that has the most influence on the consumer as well as a great added value in brand communications, but I've always been "waterproof" (more than 20 Atm) to this concept🤣🤣🤣
I agree 100% with Kyle. My boxes get tucked up in the spare bedroom closet, probably never to see the light of day again. I would rather the money went to the watch, or to control the purchase price. Thanks to both of you for the giveaway.

The hubs just ordered a Signum Cuda black pearl dial for me for our 21st anniversary and I can’t wait for it to arrive! I would LOVE one of the full lume dials too!!! The lume on these is insane! It's always great to see unique microbrands be daring and doing what big companies won't! Unfortunately, my experience with signum was that they were willing to heavily lume the dial bezel and leave the hands unlumed.

Wow! Kudos to Kyle from Signum to explain the decision process for why the watch came to be as seen. There’s this charm about a micro brand company with their representatives interacting with their clients that can’t be compared to other watchmakers. Keep up the great work and fantastic job making such a cool watch still with its quirks haha

Something to keep in mind regarding the lume: Blue lumed indicators with a blue lumed dial will make it significantly harder to read than if the dial wasn't lumed at all, as the contrast is worse at night when it's dim. The Orange dial is probably the most usable for this reason, and it would be my pick for practical use.

Came here hoping to see this comment. I have a full faced lumed watch like this and it's nearly impossible to read after half an hour. Looks great in pictures but it's fools gold.
Fashion wise the orange is less usable than blue. Well my boring clothes is mostly grey or blue.

Lol, can't help thinking that if you've been underwater long enough for the lume to fade you have more pressing issues than telling the time 😁🤔
I have the full lumed dial RZE Resolute and this is a massive complaint of mine. However, if the lume stays this bright, and with those chunky hands, it should be easier to see and decipher than most lumed dials...
I ordered the orange dial model with sharktooth bezel immediately upon seeing this video when it first released, and now (after regulating it) I find it hovers around perfection w/regard to timekeeping accuracy, and with very near-zero beat error. I've observed a 10 to 15 second per day difference in rate depending on how I leave it on the night stand, with it gaining a little on its back and losing a little if I sit it up with 12 o'clock up (e.g., better for reading the time at 4am), but when I wear it it just effortlessly keeps accurate time all day. I find I crave wearing this watch more than the others in my collection, and I've certainly turned a few heads so far because of the color in the daytime and the lume shining out in the evening. Nice job, Kyle! And thanks for introducing this watch, Jody!

These are surely among the best micro brand watches out there. The price is extremely fair, specs amazing and the design is nicely original. All Signum watches have so much character compared to a lot of other micros and I wish the owner every success!

Having been a customer and working partner with Kyle for a bit now, I have to say to anyone who hasn't looked into Signum or Straton to absolutely do so. He runs a great company, has amazing communication/service and the products consistently punch well above their weight range when it comes to value for the money! Please don't write that off as an endorsement based on "oh he likes the guy, of course he will promote his brands". I was a customer before ever speaking to him and if the watches sucked, that would have been the end of it. lol

I love everything that Kyle is doing with his Signum watches. From the stone dials to these full lume he’s hitting it out of the park.
For lume junkies like me, this is a cracking watch for the price. As Jody said, “dive watch 101”, but the simplicity gives the watches a very nice retro vibe… until the lights go out! 😳 Well done, Kyle!

Hey Jody, great review as usual. That lume is insane! My only concern is that the bracelet would be plucking my wrist hairs so I'd switch the bracelet for a rubber strap. I noted Signum don't offer any on these. Pet peeve of mine.
The bracelet on my original signum doesn't nip hairs at all.
The loose links in the video made me think that. Are the original bracelets less wobbily?
That blue and white combo is beautiful. But the orange is super bright a playful.

I confess… I’m a lume junkie, I try and try but can’t seem to kick the habit. That orange dial is the brightest orange I have ever seen on a watch it POPS! I think I would change the strap to black rubber and make it really sing. Amazing lume thanks for sharing.

I just recently appreciate and getting into mechanical watches, coming over from G-shocks and Suuntos I really impressed by these Signum Cudas lumes. Having my watches as tools and backlight is just a push button away, with mechanical lumes is important factor which eventually make me decide to get Seiko's GMT rather than the swiss counterpart.

With that lume there's no need for any fancy extras. The green lume is more the casual wearer where the orange is the talk on every party. The one your keeping is indeed a lume beast but also the least spectacular of the 3. All of them are really straightforward and do what they should do with the least possible distraction. Thanks for showing them!

I was very happy to see the spare packaging and thin manual. I don't like spending money on something that's going to collect dust in the dark of my closet anyway. I hope more manufacturer's stop adding to landfill, pare down from their faux wood, faux leather, faux marble and just package the watch with basic protection. BTW, great lume. I'm happy that my Vanuatu held its own. Great job as usual, Jody. Always fun to see what you have down your sleeve.
Lovely looking watches Jody, nice clear and crisp dials. Funny, the orange one looks better in the dark than in the light, the second hand's orange boarder seems to "disappear" against the dial, but in the dark it "pops". I think had they given is black boarders it would have worked better. But hey, that's just me. That bracelet is rather neat, it's got a bit of flex, not as much as a floppy jubilee, but enough to make it a tad more comfy than the ridged norm that a lot of that style seem to be.
I'd love to win either. Already subscribed to both from the meteorite dial giveaway (didn't win, but thanks). Love titanium and great (Epic) lume and think these will do well for Kyle and Signum. Best of luck to us all.

I just love the lume on this watch. I'm always around and about at night, especially in darker lit restaurants and shows...and movies. My other watches have such poor lume that I'm always on the lookout.
They all look great, but that Orange is spectacular. All three have their own charm and I'm sure will be a hit.
Full lume and titanium for that kind of price is a pretty nice deal. I might consider one even if I don't get lucky on the giveaway.

Thanks Jody for another great video. The Cuda is a fantastic update of the classic diver. The hexagonal and rounded indices and the "toothed" bezel create an eye-catching design when the lights are on, but the full lume at night begs to be noticed.

Great video as usual Jody. I got the apatite dial cuda titanium about 8 months ago and even without the full lume dial the lume is amazing. Out of 25 watches in the watch boxes besides my bed, it is always glowing brightest in the middle of the night.
